Though I wonder if you'd ever consider a story where Dumbledore realises he's on the wrong path with Harry and takes him into his confidence a lot sooner, maybe spurred on by Sirius? I just think that a Harry openly mentored by Dumbledore would have the potential to be terrifying. I guess Voldemort alone wouldn't even feel as much of a challenge in that case :?
