Hello, mates.
This post is about real and virtual traning and brining my car to Assetto Corsa.
First of all, i love racing. And when snow melts down i patricipate in sunday time-attack practices on our local race track. It's short and rather narrow, but with changing elevations, which is really good. Fortunately, locals already made this track to sim, 95% same as real. It's left for me only to bring there my silver bullet - Subaru Legacy BM GT. 2009 model year, was imported just after release in Japan.
On the photos in head of the post you can see "almost" same angle and shot of me in real and in virtual)
Today Specifications: tyres Federal RSR-R (in game i just left them as street). Very grippy tyres, good for racing. 285 hp, 5 speed AT with manual changing + tuned AT for faster changing, Whiteline antirollbars, some suspension changes, Brembo brakes with Dixcel pads, and 1550 kg of pure JDM (yes, for now it's quite heavy)
Why this? It doesn't look like a true roaring fast car, but it can surprise on the circuit. My cornering as fast as slightly modified STI. But i do lose on acceleration. So maybe will make some CPU, boost, exhaust tune later. But for now it's like this.
And that's why i do like Assetto Corsa is open engine with well made physics engine. After half year of editing the Subie Legacy i want to release you verion 1.3. I think it's 98% made and goes just the same as real car. So simracing becomes a true training gear for real racing.
Change log of ver 1.3 after ver 1.2: edited gear set, suspension specs, better textures in interior (no terrible grob of some meshes), edited front lights
