G'day mates! here we go with Fiat based beast made by Spaniards for their local championship - Campeonato de Espana Turismo - Seat 131 made with Gr.5 regulations!
Yes, it'a another european Super Silhouette car with quite small horse power output, but still fun to ride. It's x1.7 faster then Dakos and Esprit (that were published previously).

....from the article....
After the withdrawal of the rally from the official SEAT team and in case in 1981 it was necessary to maintain a Competition department, it was decided to leave an embryo of the old Department, in charge of a small and technically ambitious program. This program consisted of continuing at the foot of the cannon in the competition, making a Seat run on circuits, according to the new specifications of the Federation for 1980, that is, in Gr. 5, for the Nationals. After hesitating between a Ritmo and a 131, it was decided to opt for the latter, since starting from the national base, it was the most competitive car that could be built. The idea was born and it had to be developed against the clock, since the decision made on December 1, 1979, the car should be ready for the first race, in the last week of March.
Regarding the engine of this car and despite the enormous difficulties, given that time was pressing, there was no hesitation in heading towards the well-known powerplant of the 131 with Abarth 16-valve cylinder heads, which derives from the Seat 131/2000 , with the displacement raised to 2,100 cc The turbo solution was thought about, but due to previous unfortunate experiences, it was momentarily abandoned due to its high cost and great fragility.
