Seat 131 Gr.5 (Silhouette) 1980 - Assetto Corsa

G'day mates! here we go with Fiat based beast made by Spaniards for their local championship - Campeonato de Espana Turismo - Seat 131 made with Gr.5 regulations!

Yes, it'a another european Super Silhouette car with quite small horse power output, but still fun to ride. It's x1.7 faster then Dakos and Esprit (that were published previously).

Read Spanish article about the Seat 131

....from the article....

After the withdrawal of the rally from the official SEAT team and in case in 1981 it was necessary to maintain a Competition department, it was decided to leave an embryo of the old Department, in charge of a small and technically ambitious program. This program consisted of continuing at the foot of the cannon in the competition, making a Seat run on circuits, according to the new specifications of the Federation for 1980, that is, in Gr. 5, for the Nationals. After hesitating between a Ritmo and a 131, it was decided to opt for the latter, since starting from the national base, it was the most competitive car that could be built. The idea was born and it had to be developed against the clock, since the decision made on December 1, 1979, the car should be ready for the first race, in the last week of March.

Regarding the engine of this car and despite the enormous difficulties, given that time was pressing, there was no hesitation in heading towards the well-known powerplant of the 131 with Abarth 16-valve cylinder heads, which derives from the Seat 131/2000 , with the displacement raised to 2,100 cc The turbo solution was thought about, but due to previous unfortunate experiences, it was momentarily abandoned due to its high cost and great fragility.

Hi mate, thank you! It's Semetin by Simtraxx, really hard but awesome hillclimb in Chech republic

Tony Barracuda

Nice work! Hey... just have to ask what track is that with the little homes in it (in the pics attached here). Thanks!

PixelDriver777

Yeah I found it strange because everyone else seems to be fine and the other group 5 cars work great

I will check it in the evening, mate. But it was fine and its first time i hear about error of the car

Tony Barracuda

That's the weird thing, it doesn't show one. It just says race cancelled

What error does CM shows you ?

Tony Barracuda

Sorry mate but replacing the sound didn't fix it, any other suggestions? I reinstalled CSP too

Strange. do you use CM? Try to replace sound. should work

Tony Barracuda

It won't actually run, any suggestions as to fix it? I just get hit with 'race cancelled' any time I load it

I will double check later. Probably CM info is wrong, but actuall power is according real data, counting wheel lose on chassis

Tony Barracuda

Thanks for your reply. Are you sure regarfing hp? CM data analyses 297.

sokinawa

Oh, true. Its only stated data, on fact they are both 235 hp, 900 kg

Tony Barracuda

Thanks, Tony. There just seem to be differnces between the articles stated data (235hp, 900kg) and the models data (297hp,, 665kg) in CM

Hi Tony. Great handling car. I don’t know if you know but no rain drops on windscreen when raining on both versions. Wiper work ok. From outside of car the windows aren’t clear.
