Character Overview - Nefertari

As assets are being busily created in the background and the amount of new content I can show you guys exclusively begins to slow down, I wanted to take the time to go back to previous characters, and perhaps explore them a little more--to share some things about them that you might not have known!

Our first character for this series of overviews shall be everyone's favourite sleepy mummy--Nefertari!

One thing I'd like to bring to your attention almost immediately is that due to the game itself using more zoomed in sprites, you sadly don't get to see the lower half of Nefertari's sprite all that often, which is a shame. Since, I mean, look at those hips and thighs!

The idea behind Nefertari's design was that she spends most of her days (and years at a time!) lazily sleeping in her tomb, occasionally waking up if someone is foolish enough to stumble onto her resting place, and then, well... You know how it goes.

Uh, the point I'm trying to make is, she's lazy, and a bit of a glutton, which combined together leaves her just a touch pudgy, as you might see by how the bandages kind of pinch against her in places, and of course, goodness me, those thighs.

In addition, for a while I was having trouble deciding on her hair colour. Torn between brown and black and what might suit her best, given her origins.

Black was made an option on the .psds I have for her, along with the brown hair that I eventually went with, so maybe one day I can find a reason to bring back her black hair. But, I've been with her brown hair so long it's really weird to be looking at the black hair again. Still, hopefully you guys will agree that brown hair suits her the best!

I guess I'll wrap things up for now. Maybe in a future post I can detail a bit more about her actual backstory for those interested, since given she's already dead, you can be sure she lived an interesting life! I just wanted to give a glimpse into her design, and felt it was criminal her thighs weren't getting the attention they deserved! They may also feature in an upcoming CG scene with her... But shhh!
