Quest Failed: Chapter Two - Dev Log #33

Surprise! Right before 2018, I'm back with one last dev log!
In the previous dev logs, we've covered everything from new characters, CG scenes, backgrounds, and even looked at some of the new voices that will be introduced in Chapter Two--but there's one thing I haven't really shown off much of yet, if at all. And that is music!
While I'll still be using a lot of the same royalty free tracks that I feel are somewhat rooted in Quest Failed's DNA now, I've also been steadily amassing a collection of custom tailored tracks made specifically for Chapter Two to help convey a larger amount of moods and tones that weren't possible with what I had at hand before.
To do this, I've been working with an incredibly versatile and talented composer, Noyemi K, who seems to be able to adapt to any genre of music thrown at her and always produces something amazing--I haven't been disappointed so far!

Moving along to the music track that's being previewed in this dev log (a small snippet of the full track) there's no official name for the track yet, but you can think of this as a certain hooded girl's theme if you will. I like to think that this fits her character quite well, encapsulating both a frail, cold side to her, as well the more foreboding, darker elements that occasionally creep in before fading back out again. The leading string instrument also helps to create a mysterious, almost mystic kind of feeling about her, too~
Well, I'm not expert on music and I leave the compositions to the professionals, but that's what I get out of it at any rate. I would love to hear what you guys think personally, too, and the feeling it invokes!
This will be the last dev log of the year, so I'll take this time to wish you guys a very happy new year and I hope 2018 will be even more awesome than 2017!
