Quest Failed: Chapter Two - Alpha Build 4

Hello, hi, heya, howdy!

Yes, you read the title right--do not adjust your monitor--the fourth alpha build of Quest Failed: Chapter Two has finally hit your shores! Rejoice~

Once again, I can't apologise enough for the delay, with what was supposed to be a late December release being dragged out all the way to the beginning of February like. It seems whenever I promise something by a certain date a curse is put over me and then everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong during the last steps of development.

But I think I've apologised enough, have I not? I'm happy that everyone can finally experience the new content~ And I want to add on more if I can help before the end of the month, after the demo work is done.

Alpha build 0.4 contains for your enjoyment:

- The conclusion to the Herbal Remedy quest--and what a giant this turned out to be to write. I think at least 70% of all the new writing in this build was dedicated solely to shaping this 'little' side quest. But I hope you enjoy what it has to offer as much as I enjoyed writing all! To access this last segment, you need to choose the 'City Gates' open during the day time, once you've done the first part of the Herbal Remedy quest. Due to the way the days are scheduled, this means you can only possibly do it on the day you're supposed to be at the Queen's big meeting. For the sake of the alpha build I've made it so you can access it on this day--but keep in mind in later builds you shouldn't be able to do this!

- Updated sprites for Ren, Cynthia and Jacob--I've finally had time to implement them and re-script all of their expressions and poses for the screen time they might have, helping make their interactions feel far more dynamic than previously. It should be noted that I'm aware the heights of Ren and Cynthia feel a touch big when alongside other characters, and I'll be adjusting this as I go along.

- Voiced lines for June's second h-scene, and a mystery new h-scene--As a small reminder for any new alpha players, you can access June's h-scene by donating for her first h-scene as soon as possible (skipping Ren's tour and visiting on the first day), then you'll be able to visit her during the night and donate some more gold.

- A new side quest involving a library--After the h-scene in this side quest, it will end rather abruptly, but this is because the scene is only partially done after and I didn't want to delay the alpha release on account of this--as I know you're probably all far more grateful you can see a new character and h-scene! I hope!

Due to the heavily in-development nature of this build in particular, the build has two different 'end points' you may run into (The normal end halfway into the Queen's meeting like the last build, and an end after the Herbal Remedy sidequest to avoid game breaking glitches due to doing something on a day you weren't supposed to), so please aware of these.

Additionally, a few menu options in town during the day and night are still semi-nonfunctional right now as before and won't respond to mouse clicks. I hope to get everything shaped up and far more presentable soon. I thank you for your patience and support and hope you enjoy what's been added in this build!

A download to the 0.4 alpha has been added to the alpha folder you were sent at the beginning of the month. If you believe you were entitled to the new alpha this month but didn't receive anything, please get in touch and I'll try to resolve things as swiftly as possible!

And additionally, if by chance I've goofed something up and the build I've uploaded crashes or does something it shouldn't do, please let me know and I'll upload a fixed version as soon as I can!
