Quest Failed: Chapter Two - Dev Log #41

Hiya there, guys! How are we all doing today? I'm back with a new, action-packed dev log! (The background is temporary right now)

As you can see--our brave adventurer-to-be is engaging in some intense, sweaty practice with the ever ruthless Royal Guard Captain. Even when they're training with wooden swords, Cynthia still gives it her all. It's her belief that if she holds back, even the slightest, then whoever she's practicing with will never be able to improve. Just ask Matt, or the dozens of recruits that she's left covered in bruises! What it's called...'tough love', or something? Not sure if there's a lot of love in those powerful strikes of hers, but...well, it's certainly tough!

Matt's swordplay at the moment is sloppy and the little training he did receive before setting out on his quests was perhaps questionable at best (and a complete scam at the worst), but with enough training I'm sure Cynthia will be able to shape him into a somewhat passable swordsman! Well, either that, or he'll crack under the pressure and flee with his tail between his legs like many recruits before him. But I'm sure the stinging welts left from the barrage of Cynthia's merciless strikes are nothing compared to the agony a lot of the monster girls have put him through.

This training from Cynthia is entirely optional, of course--and may drastically effect how Matt handles battles thrust upon him. I'm sure a lot of times he'll still, uh 'fail'...but at least he might look like he put up a bit more of a fight before going down!

That about does it for today's dev log--though I'm curious to hear if there's anything you'd like to read/see more about in upcoming dev logs! As I'm always looking to try to tune them towards more relevant information you'd be excited to dig into.
