Quest Failed: Chapter One - v 1.1 Update Plan

Hiya there, guys! How are we all doing today?

Today we're back with another dev log--huh, wait... That says 'Chapter One' in the title? You read that correctly, that isn't a typo!

In this post I'm to announcing my plans to finish up a long-awaited update that's been in limbo since Chapter One's release! It's been a little frustrating to be sitting on so many resources with the update half complete as it is, and I promised this to you guys so long ago I feel it's only right I get it all completely finished and released so I can resume work on Chapter Two without it nagging me at the back of my head the whole time. So for the next week I'm going to be devoting most of my time to wrapping up the loose ends required of getting this update out. (Though will still be working on Chapter Two's next alpha build as well!)

When the update is released, you'll be able to download the updated copy of Chapter One from wherever you may have bought it before, so fear not. Though I'll make a more in depth post on this at the time of its release so you'll know how to get your updated copy.

The updated version of Chapter One (v 1.1) will include:

- The promised 12th h-scene. (And it's a fun one!)

- Sound bites for characters during regular dialogue. (A feature in the demo of Chaper One, previously removed due to time constraints, that will be restored for all 5 characters!)

- Journal Feature unlocked in the 'Extra' menu. (And example of what this may contain can be seen up above, with a few more hidden surprises, too!)

- Bonus Scenes unlocked in the 'Extra' menu. (Essentially these are the 'Christmas' and 'Valentines' videos that were released before but in the game itself so you can experience them at your own leisure if you so desire. Lucille's lines are included here, of which they were absent in the Christmas special)

- And perhaps most importantly, the ability to make a save that will be able to transfer over to Chapter Two! You'll be given a brief rundown at the end of Chapter One and your choices laid out, before it asks if this is the save you wish to prepare for Chapter Two or not. You'll be able to redo this as many times as you want until you're 100% happy with the save you're carrying across.

In addition, other tweaks/changes will include some correcting of errors present in the script, and maybe some more minor changes if I come across anything while patching things up.

So, all in all, this will be a pretty significant update to Chapter One that will add a lot of content and better prepare things for Chapter Two further on down the road.

I can't apologise enough for how long this took, but the update is finally on the horizon~
