Hiya there! How are we all doing?
It's now 3 days until Christmas, aaaaah! Those days just flew by, huh? Have you done all your shopping or do you have some last minute gifts to scramble for? I was actually wise this year and shopped AHEAD of time, somehow, so now all I have to do is begin the process of gift-wrapping and hope I don't get tangled up in the paper myself. Ahhh, fun times.
First of all--I wanted to start off with this dev log with a tiny, super small announcement/advertisement!
Basically, I packaged some of the existing audio scenes that were present on here before to $10+ patrons and beyond into a fun little volume that I've dubbed 'Audio Adventures', complete with fun illustrations of their mouths and a little script booklet with flavour text between moments in any given scene, making it a mini script/novel sort of deal.
You can find more information here! [Audio Adventures] Though I know a lot of you have already listened/seen the audio scenes--so this probably won't apply to you. But if you're curious and wanna take a look--there's even a neat little trailer on the store page! I might do more of these in the future with new audio scenes, essentially bundling up older ones after a certain time period of exclusivity to Patreon and then selling them to the general public. But right now my focus is now fully on getting all of the remaining h-scenes voiced and ready for Chapter Two!
On that note--I'm happy to say that all of the CG scenes for a certain bumbling merchant have been fully voiced and are ready for implementation in the game! Writing h-scenes for someone that isn't as outwardly dominant or assertive like Claire was a fun little challenge and nice change of pace compared to the usual monster girls jumping Matt's bones, haha. So admittedly I had to come up with silly scenarios that fit both Claire's character and were still decidedly 'hot' for you the player to go through. One leans to a more silly side, while the other still feels quite erotic even if the situation is bizarre. I'll leave it to your imaginations as to what might cause Claire and Matt to end up in such crazy situations together! On a side note--Claire looks pretty scrawny when she's not lugging that giant backpack around! Someone get this girl a hearty meal and put some meat on those bones!
I may have mentioned it before, but with Claire--I actually had h-scenes that were far more straightforward at first with her. But in the end I felt they ended up feeling too demeaning and degrading for her (more than usual) so got new ones done in their place. One day I might show the the old rejected scenes for Claire, since they were still pretty nice and well drawn. I just wasn't feeling the overall vibe of them at the time. Chapter Two actually has quite the interesting library of resources that ended up going unused or were re-drawn for various reasons--so it'd be really interesting to have a proper look back at them all with you one day! (Though I worry people might get mad at me for scrapping certain elements and replacing them, haha. But I think that's always the case when games show unused concept art, etc. right?) But I should probably keep those all under wraps until Chapter Two launches at the very least!
Alongside Claire being finalised, I also received the rest of June's voice lines--including her final scene, and her general voice library clips, with some adorable angelic humming~ I'll be excited to slot those into the next build if I can manage it!
Finally, slow and steady work begins on fleshing out the camp interactions. It was tough to decide whose scene to focus on first--but a pretty good idea came up for how to integrate a certain sleepy mummy's first CG of the game into things smoothly--so everyone will have that to look forward to! I think after that, I have lots drafted up for Ruby, too. I promise that Ruby's h-scenes will be a lot more soft and lovey-dovey than previous hip shattering sessions~ Provided you don't tick her off, of course. Surely Matt has the sense not to toy with a dragon, right? Hahhh...
At any rate--that's the update for what's been coming together this past week--and with Christmas on the horizon I feel I should probably keep things concise, because I have a couple of special surprise 'gifts' lined up nearer the big day for you all as a big thank you for 2 years of Quest Failed goodness!
