Quest Failed: Chapter Two - Dev Log #86

Hi, hi, hi!

How are we all doing today? It's pretty windy over here, with lots of rain--so I'm just praying this building doesn't get blown away! (And from this unsettling creaking from time to time, I might not have much time left!)

So--a new week means a new dev log! And at the rate we're going, we'll be at dev log #100 in no time at all! What a milestone that'll be! Let's pray I'll have something significant to announce regarding the release of Chapter 2 before we hit 100, huh? That'd be pretty fun~

First of all--I'm really happy that Kassandra's stuff was so well received! She's the cutest pupper in the world and it warms my heart to see so many people excited to meet her! (Or, uh, get pounced by her!) Rest assured, she isn't just going to be a oneshot character--and she WILL appear from time to time when you least expect it! So, look forward to that! And try to avoid getting caught off-guard by those super fluffy paws of hers!

In terms of what I've accomplished over the last week, I'm happy to say I've made a lot of progress on writing out a certain sleepy mummy's scene, along with laying the foundation for a lot of other scenes with characters as they strike my fancy. I have a big list of scenes that need to be done, so sometimes I'll choose several on a whim and see where they take me, swapping from scene to scene if I ever feel 'stuck' at any given point. This is the beauty of non-linear structures, where I can shift my focus at any given time. But at the same time, it can be a curse, as it ends up making me feel paralyzed, unsure what to start with, when given a large range of options. This does end up making things feel a little more unfocused opposed to a more linear narrative, but I'm trying my best to keep it together! The script files are getting so dense now I'm needing to insert tags into them for easy searching just so I don't get lost in my own documents. It's a crazy feeling, and I still can't believe I've written so much for one single project!

Also--continuing on the trend of going more in-depth with my characters and analyzing things, I wanted to talk a little about Sister June--the lovable nun! (And have a reason to show off her pretty chibi!) I've talked about her on a surface level before I think, and shown off some of her wonderful art--but I'm unsure if I've ever explored her beyond that! (And surely you'd want to know what lies beyond that habit of hers that seems several sizes to small, straining against the might of her heavenly bosom!)

Straight from the start, June was conceived as a character that would serve as an antithesis to all of the harsh, unrelenting characters you might find in this oddly femdom-charged world! A gentle smile, a gentle touch, and a soft, inviting body that might help alleviate you of all of your woes, I wanted her to be a truly heavenly experience for everyone who might play. This is further emphasized by her golden, saintly hair and pretty blue eyes (which if you might have noticed, I'm a sucker for, aaaa) and not to mention her equally heavenly voice provided by the super talented voice actress, Milly Stern! Which inadvertently gave her a more mature appeal--not that I'm complaining, since that more motherly tone lends to June quite nicely and really makes you feel at ease when you're in her presence~

This of course extends to her h-scenes! Of which her gentle touch and voice are carried over, making sure she doesn't push herself too much on poor Matt, recognising just how much he's been through. Matt is still pretty shy and nervous, even when he gives consent in these situations, so June does end up having to do most of the work anyway--but she never pushes him past any point he might be uncomfortable with, and assures him they can stop at any time; a luxury that most of the girls in Matt's life don't offer him, making Sister June truly one of a kind! Heaven sent! A real life angel!

Her near flawless appearance stands out in stark contrast to the dusty old church that she attends to, however, seemingly abandoned by all of the other loyal followers of her faith. So it falls squarely on June's plush, comfy lap to tend to the church and stop it from falling into further ruin. But one woman can only do so much, and the church is facing dire times. Will you donate your hard earned gold to help her patch the place back up--or are there other motivators at play here, influencing your decisions? Hmmmhmmmhmmm~?

While so far I've only finalised June's h-scenes (I ended up prioritizing them the most out of others, because she's put a heavenly spell on me~)--I want to expand her character and open up a variety of dialogues you might be able to engage her in regarding her role at the church, as she slowly opens up to you the more you visit. As of course, she's more than just a servant of the Goddess--she has her own feelings and needs in life, too!

Who can say where pursuing a servant of the Goddess might lead, though. As loving as June is, it IS forbidden for her to bare her body to another man, after all--so there's only so much she might be able to offer you!
