Heya, everyone, I hope you've been doing well this past week!
Today I'm back with a dev log as promised, showcasing a cute, silly little bonus CG you can potentially run into if you explore the options available to you! These are short little events that don't necessarily lead to h-scenes, but may still be titillating in their own way, and even voiced as well to help enhance the presentation of whatever the CG scene may be about! You can think of them as a little extra spice in a game that's already super stacked in the h-scene department!
In this particular scene, it seems poor ol' Claire has gotten herself into a bit of a bind--quite literally! Goodness me, it's like she's a magnet to these kinds of situations, how terrible! Just look how tightly that wire's digging into her skin and pinching at her tan skin and modest assets! What a disaster all around! And the culprit appears to be, uh...a fishing rod? I'm not quite sure how that works--but you can sleep easy in the knowledge that sentient fishing rods aren't stalking the street in search of their next victim--I promise you that! Claire just somehow...manages to find the worst possible outcome in what is supposed to be an innocuous situation. Sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it?
As a fun bit of Quest Failed Trivia (trademark pending) this scene also invokes the bondage vibe of one of Claire's canned h-scenes--where I felt the end result was too mean-spirited for her. So here, we have a far more gentle and playful interpretation of it without as much suffering! (Well, okay, she's still suffering a little, but you get the idea!)
There won't be too many of these extra little scenes--but you will find them dotted around here and there, each with their own unique requirements to be discovered. None of them will be too obscure, but I do like the idea of some scenes requiring a few steps to be found--but nothing too strict or ridiculous. They'll all be logical to uncover!
Additionally, these smaller sorts of scenes are a breath of fresh air to work on after getting bogged down on very long h-scenes back to back. (Don't get me wrong, I'm ultimately happy with how the h-scenes turn out and love writing them so vividly, though it can just be mentally exhausting sometimes if you get what I mean.) There's something almost relaxing in a sense about being able to flesh out a small little scene with a few lines of voice and description, and it allows me push forward with development, feel accomplished that I've added a new scene in, and then allow me to feel refreshed for the coming, larger scenes looming on the horizon with a new state of mind! So at the current moment my workload is balanced between these sorts of scenes, so I can keep pushing ahead with the behemoth of a script and get things looking slick for an eventual early access release! Whoo~
Additionally, while we're cutting it close--I AM working with the artist to get some bonus art done for the end of the month still, so I thank you for your patience on that! And if by chance it doesn't work out, I'll find some way to make it up to everyone next month, and still find something to send as a bonus this month, be it an older CG scene that hadn't yet been sent at full resolution or otherwise!
Until next time~
