Calming himself in midair, Lukas quickly shifted his center of gravity to twist himself into position before he spanned his limbs outwards to slow down his descent.
Using the crucial time before landing to initially scout the area out, he noted a few key locations that would be areas of interest where the relics that the headmaster mentioned will be situated in.
With his pre-scouting done, he returned his focus to the elephant in the room: how to land on the ground safely without breaking all the bones in his body. Thankfully, he had the Force to aid him.
With a deep breath, he focused and centered himself mentally before willing the Force to act. In an instant, his body, which was falling at a high speed, started to visibly slow down, from the fast free fall to the point that he simply glided in the air for a moment before gently landing on both feet.
Exhaling outwards, he looked around and focused, his arm brushing on the metal cylinder that's magnetically linked to the belt on his hips, ready to unleash it at any moment.
A few seconds of caution later, he relaxed slightly as no threat came his way, though there were multiple Force Signatures that flew above and past from his location with the sound of gunfire.
They were using their weapons to increase the launch pad's range? Smart.
Maybe he should have launched himself further with the Force; in hindsight, it was a smarter decision to cover more ground, but what's done has been done, so he started his trek towards the numerous Force Signatures before him with the intent of finding a partner.

Ten minutes of walking, and his patience was slowly thinning as he easily dismantled a group of werewolf-like monsters that charged towards him with the Force, channeling the mystical energies of the world.
The one closest to him was lifted from the ground before the Grimm monster was sent flying into a tree, a horrifying snap of its spine sounding before it slumped to the ground, defeated.
Its comrades, however, did not seem to be bothered as another one lunged with its claws bared towards him, only to pause midair by the manipulation of the Force.
Just like the first, it was dealt with using a swift Force Push, the Beowolf dying instantly as its neck gets snapped from the force behind the telekinetic push on a tree.
Lukas had to sidestep the remaining Beowolf's attempt to claw his face off before it also stopped mid-attack, its body floating slightly off the ground as he flicked the extended wrist of his upwards.
Comically, the Grimm barely gave out a squeak as it soared into the sky with Lukas watching the black spot in the air slowly disappearing from his sight. Letting the pull of the Force diminish in his hand, he waited for a moment before a black blur returned from the atmosphere and splattered all over the floor in a grotesque pile of blood and organs.
... Rather gruesome, but if you could see the world as he could with the assistance of the Force, he had no doubts that one would do the same thing he did.
Foul, simply foul beings that were void of the Force, filled with malice and hatred. Just looking at them with Force Sight still makes him shiver at how abnormal they were.
They were... not supposed to exist, yet here they were. Everything with life in the world is filled with the Force as it binds the whole universe together, yet the Grimm somehow do not follow this trend.
Shaking his head to refocus his attention, he started resuming his journey towards the dense population of signatures that had the Force just in front of him, hoping to find someone that was still lacking a partner to pass.
And as he got closer to the group of would-be students, he finally was near enough to hear a conversation being held.
"I said jump..."
Taking a step into the clearing in front of him, he was greeted with a colorful group looking in the sky. He noted the ancient ruins just a distance away before following their line of sight and was met with the biggest crow-like Grimm, a Nevermore, that he'd ever seen flying around in circles with a girl hanging on the claw of the beast.
Hmm... She looked eerily like a Schnee from the SDC.
"She's going to fall."
"She'll be fine."
And then the white-themed girl lost her grip.
"She's falling."
Channeling the Force, Lukas raised his arm to attempt to slow down the girl's descent when suddenly a blonde boy caught the girl midair... Before restarting their fall.
Now that, he did slow down. With a light push in the opposite direction, they slowed down their free fall before he dismissed the Force, thinking that they'd handle their own landing.
The white-themed girl, who he now confirmed to be the actual Weiss Schnee of the SDC, did so with suave and elegance using her Glyphs, while the blonde did not as he face-planted onto the ground, groaning in pain.
THUD!
Suddenly, a body zoomed past the group and headed towards Lukas, who swiftly positioned himself as he caught the body easily with the help of the Force to distribute the impact.
"Sorry, thank you!"
"No problem."
Letting the person stand up on his own, his eyes blinked at the realization that Pyrrha Nikos, four-time champion of the Mistral Region Tournament, was here in Beacon, even though she hailed from Mistral and was rumored to be attending Haven Academy.
A shriek snapped him out of his thoughts as his eyes gazed upon another abnormally sized Grimm, this time a scorpion-like monster, charging towards the group.
Piecing it together, he noted the Deathstalker's immense strength as it was able to throw Pyrrha at such speeds through the air when all of a sudden, a red-capped girl with a comically large scythe trailed towards the Deathstalker, intending to fight heads-on with it.
Everyone got into action the moment the scorpion Grimm swiped at the scythe-wielding girl without a single glance, knocking her away as Lukas realized that the Nevermore was prompting an attack.
"Incoming!"
He yelled as he swiftly raised both hands, one raised high into the air while the other tracked the downed girl with the scythe.
The Nevermore caws above them before flapping its large feathered wings, releasing a barrage of sharp feathers with points towards the group. Everyone scattered as the projectiles were about to land, but the feathers did not strike true.
Confused, everyone looked up to notice that they stood still in place midcourse before dispersing around them randomly. In the meanwhile, the black-haired girl with red hair tips suddenly erred towards the group, slamming into the blonde-haired girl.
"Ruby!"
"Excuse me, but we are still in danger. Stop gawking and move!"
Using a powerful Force Push to shove the Deathstalker back into the forest, Lukas used a light Force Pull to randomly grab a relic into his hand, which he now realized was a chess piece from the ruins nearby, and hastily announced, noticing the Nevermore that was picking up some speed as it circled back.
"True. Our objective is already in our hands; there's no sense in dilly-dallying any longer."
"Weiss and mysterious guy is right! Our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs. There's no point in fighting these things."
Immediately grabbing their own relics, everyone started to run back to the general area of the cliffside with the Grimm tailing behind them.
