After the shock and silence had passed, there were no more further questions, so he took the opportunity to answer the two earlier questions Sona had asked, which were "10 years now, since the early days of his first year in high school" and "He didn't; the first few months after awakening to his powers, he was caught red-handed, though the person who did decided to clear off any reports regarding him," respectively.
Hmm, he didn't expect there to not be any records, though, since he talked to some rather important people back then. She did a great job, huh? That's not unexpected but surprising at the same time.
"Join my Peerage."
Sona was the first to regain her thoughts as she blurted her desires out.
A Peerage, huh? Well, he never really thought of changing his course of action in the next few years, but he did have the occasional temptation to join one. The fact that Issei was also a Devil made it quite enticing, however...
"Sorry, but no, thank you."
He shot it down instantly and waited for another question to be answered. The rejection made the Sitri heir sigh as she leaned on her chair for a moment before closing her eyes.
"Thank you, Hyodo-sensei. That will be all for now."
Ren nodded gently to not drop the Pixie on his head as he stood up from his seat, adjusting his collar when he remembered something, causing him to sit back down as he looked over at Sona.
"Actually, the reason for the initial meeting was to inquire about the Fallen Angels situation..."
The atmosphere in the room tensed again with a renewed sense of focus as Sona took her glasses out to wipe them, her face shifting to an exhausted look.
"So far, the Fallen in our custody hasn't exposed anything. No names, no orders, no affiliations. Just silence. Moreover, we can’t actually interrogate him for information. The factions are still locked in something akin to a silent, cold war. If we take drastic measures, we risk reigniting the Great War."
Ren frowned as he understood the implications.
"I see. Since you are one of the Devil heirs and overseers of Kuoh, your knowledge of politics is better than mine. So, what are our current options?"
Wearing her glasses back onto her face, she pushes them up and ponders before giving him an answer.
"Until we’re given clearance by the higher-ups or until he gives something willingly... he stays in a cell untouched. In the meantime, my Peerage's familiars will scour Kuoh for any trace of them, though it is most likely that the allies of Dohnaseek will lay low in places that we Devils cannot pry into."
"The abandoned church up the hill—high chance it's their home base."
The only place in Kuoh that the Devils cannot touch, let alone get close enough to search for answers. They will need a permit, or the supernatural version of a permit, from Heaven. Everyone knew the faction of God wouldn’t hand that over easily; that means...
"We will have to resort to the wait-and-see approach."
Sona replied with a nod. Her voice was calm, but there was a tightness beneath it.
"Unfortunately, yes. As much as it pains me to say this... But even with potential enemies lurking within my territory, I am unable to act. If the residents in Kuoh suffer because of this..."
Seeing her frustrated and her Peerage looking at their King with worried eyes, Ren couldn't help but smile. Even though they are of Devil heritage, they still have the spirit of "humanity."
He did sigh a little at the unfortunate circumstance. Amano Yuuma would have to walk in the midst of Kuoh for another few days until the Devil faction reached out to both Heaven and the Grigori regarding the situation.
He'll have to keep a closer eye on events in Kuoh.
"Well, I'll try to expedite the warrant with my contacts, but let's continue to keep each other in the loop if anything happens."
Straightening his suit, he gets up from his seat as the meeting was clearly over. So, with a nod, he bid the Student Council goodbye for the day before walking out of the room with Pixie in tow.
Looking at his watch, he decided to desummon Pixie since they were still in school; there would be students roaming around even though classes were dismissed—
Hey! Hey, listen!
Before he could return Pixie into his psyche, she moved and patted his head, causing him to stop her return prematurely.
Before you send me back, there's a message from the pretty lady in that room between the Sea of Souls and the real world!
She says that there's something BIG that requires your attention and that you should meet up with her as soon as you can.
The lady even promised some candy if you go today, so hurry!
That surprised him, as he hadn't heard from her for quite some time.
"So suddenly? She didn't send a message at all, though."
He double-checked his phone to make sure, but as expected, there were no messages from her directly, though he could see that she was online on her phone. How she gets phone service in that place is still a mystery.
RN = ["omw, 10 minutes."]
A second later, he received a reply.
AG = [" :0 "]
AG = [" :) "]
Putting his phone back into his pocket, he reached out and grabbed the Pixie, who relentlessly patted his head to hurry him, by the scruff of her neck.
"Alright, alright, I'm moving."
Clapping her hands in excitement, she gave him her signature mischievous giggle after sending a low-powered Zio through his veins, causing him to yelp in pain before fading back into his psyche.
Cheeky little thing. He'll definitely not give her the promised candy.
Back at home, he briefly greeted his mother, who was deeply focused on her afternoon drama on the large 58" television that he bought a while back, and dropped off his work briefcase before heading straight to the backyard of the house, where the shed was.
Walking near the wooden shed, he felt a low vibrating hum in his pocket. Reaching for it, he grabbed it before fishing it out, revealing an ultramarine-colored key that pulsed with a faint glow.
His attention turned to the shed. Opening the door to the shed, he was pleasantly surprised by the out-of-place wooden blue door that glowed a gentle velvet blue amongst the gardening items.
It's been quite some time since he saw the familiar door. He walked towards the blue door before he laid his hand on the handle and twisted. With a gentle push, the whole world around him turned into a shade of velvet blue as he felt his consciousness drift.

He blinked slowly as the familiar sense of vertigo faded. One moment he was in the shed, and the next he was seated in a high-quality leather seat. His eyes roamed around the place that resembled a private jet, painted in ultramarine.
Placing in the P.A. system was a soothing hymn calming his heart, while the melody that followed the voice deepened his psyche's spiritual connection to the Sea of Souls.
Opposite him was a polished circular table and a chair that matched his own. It was empty, but a steaming porcelain cup already sat on the table, as though someone had just stepped away.
The hissing sound of a door opening drew his attention to the cockpit in front of him.
Long legs covered in black stockings stepped through the doorway. The soft click of heels echoed against the cabin floor as the figure of a woman entered dressed in a flight attendant’s uniform, her silhouette gradually revealed in the ultramarine light.
Long legs covered in black stockings stepped through the doorway. The soft click of heels echoed against the cabin floor as the figure of a slender woman entered, her silhouette gradually revealed in the ultramarine light.
She was dressed in an elegant flight attendant’s uniform: a royal blue fitted blazer, accented with silver linings, and a matching pencil skirt ending just above the knees hugged her frame. A black necktie sat perfectly beneath her collar, while silver cotton gloves covered her delicate hands.
Messy platinum hair in soft layers framed her face and brushed over her jawline, loose strands falling across her forehead as her golden eyes locked onto his intensely.
Before long, a beautiful smile tugged at her lips.
He couldn't help but stare at how inhumanly perfect she looked.
She stopped at the side of the table before him, folded her gloved hands neatly in front of her, and dipped into a graceful bow. As she rose, her golden gaze never left his.
"My dear Sir, welcome back to the Velvet Room."
He couldn't help but smile at the warm greeting. It's been a long four months since he last saw her, after all.
"I'm back, Agatha."
