Also, something that lets me visit other's dreams like in the newer Slumberland (magic linked items of some sort that both dreamers wear to keep it distinct from the movie's yarn) could be fun.

My dream last night started out as two tiny mouse-sized people going on a cozy first date in the rainy city, veered sideways into riding on the roof of a tank to get a good view of the desert (i apologised to the driver who said she got that a lot), and then ended as a movie trailer where Maisie Williams was a cop going undercover as some kind of Christmas tree artist.

2022-09-24 08:49:11 +0000 UTCI once had a dream where I was in the marketplace being offered a very good buy-two-get-a-third-free deal on gluten free, uh... tigers. To me, dreams are when the mind mashes ideas together to see if they fit, and a lot of the time they don't. They're often surreal for that reason. Dreams should be trippy and disjointed and weird, not just nice. My opinion is, if we're swimming with whales, the whales should tell us about how hard it is to organise their stamp collection with such giant flippers. If we're dreaming about floating among the stars, the dream should twist sideways into a search for a missing shoe, which turns up being worshipped as a god and is inexplicably much larger than it should be. And no dreaming walk in the woods is complete without the sudden realisation that we're actually on a train

Taking off from a hill and soaring over the landscape, or weaving through trees in a dense forest, or narrowly escaping some adventurous danger by flying my way out of it… any dream with flying was a good one in my books.
