Captain Garrick Dasbartin had expected resistance and trouble when he was asked to take control over the distant system of Upsilon Andromedae.
Promised a hefty pension and a priceless beach house upon returning from the estimated ninety year travel, he expected hardship- perhaps resistance and competition.
What he hadn't expected was to be stranded amidst the debris of his and another fleet, the Precursor Shipslinger destroyed and a crew of six thousand cry-frozen crew slowly dying.
Equiped with a X4 implant that seems to be broken, he needs to get the one thing up and running he really doesn't want to.
The ship's AI that might have caused them to be stranded here.

Base building(lite), Survival, Strong protagonist, fast-paced, some mystery O_o

Sounds interesting, probably going to wait until there is 10-15 chapters before I start reading so I can get a better feel for the story.
