Devlog 53 (When's the next update?)

Progress on the game is going pretty smoothly, everything seems like it's falling into place more or less. I've decided on the cutoff point between the next two updates, I think it'll be a pretty interesting place to stop, while still giving you guys a good taste of what the following update will be. I also decided on whether I'm going to be working on the updates simultaneously, and in the end I've decided I'm mostly just going to finish this update first and let the next one take however long it will. I might do some of the new designs I've got planned for it now, since designing is one of the more fun parts of development, and I can do it to break up the monotony, but I'm mainly just going to try and get this next update out as soon as I can.
Speaking of, how soon is that update gonna be? Not entirely sure, I'm going to try to cut back on giving premature release dates since I usually end up doing extra shit that extends them. But for this release I'd like to get it out sometime before Feb 10, mostly because that new Harry Potter game is coming out and I love that shit, HP was the first novel I ever read. But you know, making my game comes first, so if it's not ready by then it won't be released. That said, I don't anticipate it taking longer than that, there isn't that much left that needs to be done.
Anyway, that's it, I got lots of work to do so I'll see you guys later

For now it was also said he might get the ability to micromanage at higher stages, mc is only stage 2 right now. And while gene research might not help him for now biology and animal knowledge still could since that way he can pick out targets and combine their abilities like he already does.

He could also go for a trip to the deep oceans to collect more DNA or now that he's part of hero whether temporarily or not he could have them collect rare animal species for him.
