Ramble #32

Today it's bucketing down with rain, but yesterday I grabbed a break in the clouds to go walk around the preserve and chatter about community and queerness and activism and different types of grief and trees and practices. The usual, I suppose.

I hope you're warm and dry and there are no strange leaks you couldn't see until the weather got really bad.

I also think so much about things around anticipatory grief - like when you expect to be let down so you just pre-let-yourself-down, and it actually just hurts everything more, unnecessarily. We think we're protecting ourselves, "being realistic," but what's realistic about hurting yourself before you even know what's going to happen??
