This episode was so full of emotion and also some really fun moments. I love seeing the friendship as well as personal growth as humans and men that you can watch throughout the show. I would definitely have my kid one day watch the show just to show them how well these guys handled stress as well as competition. I feel like it wouldn’t have been so wholesome if it was filmed in Australia 😅

I didn't watch iland when it was airing so I too watched this quality, but every time a performance came out I would search it up on youtube to watch it at a higher quality. Might eb helpful in terms of being able to see them perform without it glitching.

I remember how some people sexualized taki because of one video when he was a kid. And it’s weird sexualization continued when Niki debuted. People celebrated his 18th birthday with tiktoks like “finally i can fantasize about him”.

2025-01-16 20:17:32 +0000 UTCI actually think the global vote results for this episode are really interesting because all of the last three places were the three youngest of the show. Ni-Ki and Daniel were both 14 at the time and Ta-ki was 15. I personally didn't follow I-Land when it first aired but when I watched it I read a lot of blogs etc people posted at the time the show was airing. I found a lot of people didn't vote for Daniel, Ni-ki and Ta-Ki because they don't want literal kids debuting and I actually very much agree with the sentiment. Obviously it worked out for Ni-ki but he received so much hate and was weirdly sexualised at such a young age that I just don't think can be healthy. The results for this episode however were also massively influenced by the fact that they revealed the half time voting results which means people began mass voting for Jay. And while I think it's sad Ta-ki was eliminated here because he was so happy in the Chamber 5 unit and probably could have shown a great new side of his skills, I don't think he was ready to debut. I think it was good for him that he had some time to improve before he made his debut in &team and I honestly couldn't imagine &team without him
