Everything You Get with March's Desert House Armoured Infantry

Hello Patrons,

The end of the month is fast approaching, and March's full reveal is here!

Desert House Armoured Infantry

In the images below, you can see that we've highlighted certain elements in bright orange, blue, and green (and you'll see similar images in many of our previous releases too!), and various images say "multi-shell" on them.

These colours mean that each highlighted element is actually a separate "shell" - a complete 3D object that it is possible to move, scale, interchange, or even remove entirely! Want to know how? We've got a few excellent text and video resources for you to check out;

Full written instructions of how to use Multi-Shell features in both MeshMixer and Blender can be found here.

Sonic Sledgehammer's Video Tutorial using MeshMixer.

And finally, an in-depth Blender Tutorial that covers advanced movement and manipulation of individual shells, as well as a whole lot more if you're interested!

Here are next month's individual components, and Multi-shell elements:

For next month's Regiments infantry, we wanted to expand on our original Desert Nomads bundle, and give them some adversaries to combat. Josh took our initial concept art and did a stellar job of translating it into a full set of modular Regiments infantry parts!

Your helmet options next month give you three distinct styles, letting you represent multiple different great house factions vying for control, and some distinct and characterful face sculpts to represent your heroic leaders on the battlefield!

The heavily armoured torsos are highly effective at protecting your troopers from conventional weapons, whilst still giving surprising mobility with their overlapping plates.

Your House Infantry leg options come in two variants, one with a Multi-Shell long coat, and the other plain, making it easier for you to mix in some variety for your squads without having to manipulate the shell options. It does mean however that you've got the option of transplanting the coat tails onto other legs from previous months!

Next month also features an expanded arms selection for both our Regiment's male and female joint systems, each including 5 pairs of Rifle-Stock joint compatible ranged infantry weapon arms, and 5 pairs of Melee // Pistol open wrist arms, giving you a huge variety of posing options!

The weapons wielded by the House troopers are evenly divided between extremely advanced laser rifles, both of the regular and sniper varieties, as well as the more close-combat focused swords, daggers, and pistol. There's also a set of binoculars, and two pairs of arms (male and female) to hold them, as well as a beacon to spike into the desert sands!

An expert duellist rounds out the final inclusion for next month - deadly and utterly dedicated to winning a duel at any cost. Beware the sting of his poisoned daggers!

NASA-Punk Astronaut Bonus Loyalty Items

Don't forget that you're also getting an amazingly cool expansion for your NASA-punk Astronauts too! Here's the Multi-Shell breakdown

Finally, we'll leave you with some more example figures to get your creative juices flowing

We hope these previews get you excited for March's release!

Suggestions For Future Expansion

We've made a start on adding some more extras already, including a weapon that's heavy and shoulder-mounted! (using our missile launcher joint system) but is there anything you'd like to see that you think is missing now you've seen the whole month's content? Something quick and easy that would complete the set for you?

Let us know in our Discord Suggestions Channel, and we'll consider if it can be created!

Thank you for your continued support!
- Team Anvil

You have so many more pistol grip options for weapons than the rifle grips. I'm sure it would be more work, but any chance we could see right hands and the rifle stocks as separate shells? We get a separate pistol grip hand for the "officers" to use pistols or other options in the sets that use pistol grips. Having the option to use different shells to move weapons around the same as we can with beards, the heavy coat tails from this set, backpacks, etc. would be a huge bonus. I know the the current and previous rifle arms aren't designed this way, but it will never happen if we don't make the request. ;-) This set is great. The previous desert set didn't grab me at all, but this set looks awesome by itself, and mixing these parts with previous sets is giving me tons of ideas.

This set is really great. I love this universe! Maybe a few more body parts could be added to distinguish the different houses even better. And the nomads would definitely need more melee arms (+ cloak).

So far, those months you mentioned are your best options

joel pitt

Love these so much. You guys are hitting it out of the park lately.

Nick Bloomer

Where is the best place to get robot hands for you guys? I got the cowboy and gothic civilian which seem to have the most robot hands but there isn't a great deal of variety. I am wondering where else I should be looking?

Henry Falsename

Heads with field caps and polearm arms would really round this out imo.

Andrew Dickinson

The original nomads didn't grab me, but there look great. Given the armor, I need to see how the Republic arms look. They are the most similar armor to the arms from this set, iirc. If they match up decently, that will open even more options for weapons for BOTH sets

Honestly, if you're skilled enough to paint a printed nose hose, you're probably skilled enough to just paint the black lines without it there.

Riley Sacdpraseuth

No nose hoses?
