Not because it's better, but because of the way it came on so bright and colorful with those flowers and that killer song. Also, it was our first exposure to Maomao. And that in itself is unforgettable!

2025-02-26 20:36:08 +0000 UTC"HAKEEEEEEEEEE" lol that scene always gets me 😂 This is a show that you really, REALLY need to pay attention to those small details that you don't think matter. Such as; this "random person" the brother spoke with at the tavern....we may have seen them a few times in very very short clips, if you went back to other episodes. Also, the scene where Maomao was kindof drowning out what Jinshi was saying about the "weirdo"......there are reasons for that that might be more than just her disinterest in him. As for your other speculations.....you'll have to keep watching to find out more clues.

2025-02-26 20:26:17 +0000 UTCIf I remember correctly, Maomao herself mentioned about her relationship with her father in one of the episodes in the firs cour (maybe it was when she figured out that her father was a doctor in the palace?). Rewatching this made me realize how the clues to figure out what is happening right now are all over the past episodes lol

And you also have to consider Maomao's reaction to Lakan's description by Jinshii. There may be multiple persons that correspond to these characteristics and Maomao may know them for other reasons but it sure seemed like she was recognising someone there, and not really eager to see him... 🤔

2025-02-26 15:51:20 +0000 UTCSince you asked, I liked the first OP better. I actually sing it at Karaoke every once in a while. Cour 2 definitely builds up better than the first and, personally, Ep. 16 is in my top 3 of favorite episodes in Season 1 so I'm really excited for you to watch it!
