Usopps fight against Ol' Fishlips is what solidified Usopp as my #1 favorite crew member. An Usopp fight is always interesting because you have no idea what he's gonna pull out of his bag of tricks. Luffy, you know he's gonna throw down with Gomu powers and raw strength. Sanji's gonna kick, and Zoro's gonna cut. Usopp? He is almost, if not MORE unpredictable than Luffy in a fight. LOVE ME SOME USOPP-SAMA

2025-04-24 18:00:11 +0000 UTCWohoo! Come to think of it, I don't think Luffy was serious when he was fighting Don Krieg. I think Luffy wanted to fight him with strength for strength. Luffy attacked Krieg's spear weapon and deliberately attacked his armor. I think Luffy wanted to test himself. Also... when he fought Smoker in that town, I think his heart wasn't in it. There was absolutely no reason to fight Smoker and so Luffy just tangled himself up then took a nap. I think Luffy did not have motivation to fight Smoker. Luffy is super confident under many conditions that we've seen so far. Remember Gin said he would beat up Luffy or something and Luffy says "I wouldn't lose to a weakling like you." And this was when Gin was beating up Sanji (although Sanji had already taken several blows to the head from the Pearl guy). Luffy is mostly always confident, and he throws sea cows around but the one time he was not confident was on the execution platform. He said "Sorry guys I'm dead now" and smiled.
