2025-10-12 07:57:14 +0000 UTCAlso the human body can't detect a lack of oxygen. The feeling of suffocating is actually from our body reacting to the build up of carbon dioxide. Its why sometimes if you're wearing a mask that you feel like you can't breathe, you're still getting more than enough oxygen, but the body is so sensitive to the co2, that when you reinhale a small part of it your body freaks out. This is not true with other gasses. Your first notion that you've run out of air will be the ground rushing up to meet you as you collapse, fall unconscious, and die within two or three minutes. This can happen with anything that's either heavier or lighter than oxygen, and pushes it out of a space.

2025-07-09 02:00:40 +0000 UTCIt's called carbon monoxide poisoning, lol. Nothing special about it, though it can be pretty dangerous and it has claimed lots of lives (and still does). Just make sure to ventilate when you're burning things in an enclosed area.
