This is the first time Momo's emotional walls were completely down in front of Okarun and he's there to witness it completely. To Okarun; it hopefully feels like confirmation that he's someone very important to her.

Jiji's deez nuts joke from season 1 still cracks me up and I'm expecting this season to get through the 8th volume of the manga based on hints in the promo art and in the OP and ED. maybe a little bit into 9? The next ep is going to wrap up volume 7

Jennifer Lopez starred in the 1997 film Anaconda. Though I'm unaware of the specifics as to why that was selected, my guess is that Tatsu-sensei was looking for a snake reference that would sound like a cool power move. Chiquitita (the alien son) could also be referring to ABBA's song, especially giving his singing capabilities lol. He's a total toddler for making up tunes as he goes along with ridiculous lyrics.

2025-07-25 12:33:04 +0000 UTCat the end there when momo is staring into the magma, she has those flashes of okarun. this is the companion to okaruns flashes of momo at the end of season 1 where he recognizes his feelings for momo. so this is the point where momo figures out how she feels about okarun. also you could say this was the sports battle episode. baseball, boxing, track and field as well as martial arts all ganging up on football.
