LORD OF MYSTERIES - Episodes 7 (EARLY UNCUT ACCESS)

First 30ish mins is a DEEP DIVE into the Feathers where I talk about every feather sighting! We also discuss topics from the last episode, and I theory craft. This was another incredible episode!

Comments

I have a theory about the feathers... Klein seems to think someone is setting things up for him and pulling the strings. And it seems like the feathers appear in key moments of Klein's fate, as if someone was pulling the string. He even thinks the kidnapping was someone pulling the strings. In the Bible, feather means good relationship with a God. In Chinese culture, peacock feathers represent the 100 eyes and it is linked to divinity, power and beauty. Then you also have the writing sounds. And it happens a lot when it has to do with the Antigos (sp? Family book, which could be related to the True Creator. So all in all... It seems like someone is, indeed, pulling the strings and the feathers represent that. The feathers mark the moment and the writing sounds is as if someone was pulling the strings, as if writing a new fate. Could it be the true creator?

I have no idea what the drama is about in regards to other content creators. Flexie is the only reaction channel I follow. It is the only one that seems legit and natural for me.

Capihood

I am a novel reader but for the life of me, I would have not figured out the music cue. That’s just insane level of attention to detail. Truly deserving of the S-tier reactor title.

Me when I see pregnant people in lotm: LEODORO😫😫

I was waiting for the reaction for this episode since the start of the series. This Scene was just as crazy in the novel. And I loved the connections you made in the beginning. Crunchy roll is not doing a great job with Subs though. Goddess destroyed the antigonous family not the whole epoch. And berserk beyonders is a better translation than uncontrollable beyonders. novels used the term out of control iirc. term is supposed to represent that beyonders have lost control over themselves and their actions so berserk fits more

Ravindu Anjana

Here is something i think i should tell you to clearer. In the first scene of ep 7, which is a scene that took place in the past, not in the present, just like a review of something happened in the past. Two mens with the notebook are Hanas Vincent and Sirius Arapis - members of Aurora Order. The man with spiky hair was Hanas Vincent - the guy who used black magic mirror to control Melissa's friend at the birthday party and then he was killed by Mr.Z - one of the 22 Oracles of the Aurora Order. (Some people have mistaken Mr.Z for Zaratul but this is completely wrong. As mentioned in this episode, Mr.Z is one of the 22 oracles of the Aurora Order, they are nicknamed by the 22 letters of the alphabet and Z is just the last letter not meaning "Z"aratul. Btw, Zaratul is the head of the Secret Order as Emperor Roselle mentioned in his diary.) And obviously the bald man is Sirius Arapis. In the present, the Antigonous family's diary is still sealed behind Chanis Gate, and it has affected an grade 3 artifact named Misfortune Cloth Pupet, and Misfortune Cloth Pupet tried to give Klein a piece of paper with a symbol drawn on it that is quite similar to the symbol on Klein's back when he was in the Grey Fog Realm. The pregnant woman at the end of the ep who is Lavenus' wife - she said that the baby hums and whistles to soothe she to sleep. I think you missed this dialogue. And Lavenus was one of the people who participated in the evil ritual at the end of the episode (You know what i mean).

Dark Knight

so cool to watch someone react to this and be willing to put in the work and try and figure it out before everything is revealed

Lord of the Feathers you are Queen of the Mysteries

Just by watching the deep dive section, I can tell once again confirm that Flexie is very dedicated reactor that really looks into all the details. As a novel reader, I too missed out some of the details mentioned by Flexie, esp the music note in ep3. Really amazing work by Flexie and the studio who designed it. I also can safely say that you're somehow on the right track just based on the clues you found Flexie. Keep up the great work!! So impressed :)

I really love your reactions. I have a very, easy time following stories, however complicated they are. I remember even little details. I am never confused. But I am very, very bad at noticing things visually or picking social cues. You help a lot with seeing what I miss. It is a pleasure to see you theorize on the details. It doesn't really matter if your theories are right or wrong on the spot; you trust us to hear them out, you try things out verbally with us. It is a great way to open a creative process and share a passion for a story, in my opinion. The intro was clearly a lot of work. Thank you for all these reflexions!

TheMyrmidon

edit reworded. sounded rude sorry like you said great timing, that this was the episode you decided to deep dive beforehand on. I really thought you watched the episode before doing the intro! loved it. the prediction on Doomsday too 👌

before watching the reaction.. i'm loving how this is almost two hours long video for a 30 minutes episode lol keep it up.. now time to dig in two hours later... that half hour intro was crazy to time it right before this episode.. lol i saw the episode before the reaction and i was gobsmacked to how relevant the discussion points were to whatever the show prepared for episode 7.. i have a joke so show related but i'm not gonna say it.. lol honestly, if i didn't know better i would have said pre-watched that's how crazy that timing was lol that could also be viewed as the peak screen writing to have answered most of questions right when you were ready to discuss them.. bring me YTs haters,, i'll fight them lol also, the scene where an exchange happens.. this was supposedly a past event between Vincent and i forgot his name in EP1 the blond guy that was tailing Klain. great analysis.. many of the points you mentioned 100% flew over my head.. i mean i know them from the novel but didn't catch them in the anime.. 10/10 reaction.. 5 more episodes to go?

deranged but not really

This episode was fireee! Thank you for the amazing reaction, you truly have keen eyes ♥️

I must say coincidences do exist, I don't believe in the supernatural, but in shows it is fascinating as one has to think in new ways to understand what occurs. The full digestion is one such thing to me. Divining isn't all powerful. Divining has only ever shown partial pieces of knowledge but it was always enough. Klein is trying to learn so much through divination this episode but keeps failing and thinks it has to do with HIS lack of power and so he wants to advance. However, when he accepts that he can't learn everything the potion is digested in full and he gains greater awareness, but he doesn't receive the answer he searched for directly, only how to find the answer for himself. What I want to know the most is the reason why the OG Klein killed himself. Was it out of fear? Was he being controlled? Did he obtain a greater understanding of the world and it's future that lead him to believe his death was necessary? If he doesn't kill himself would he have become a Beyonder? Dunn and Leonard were always going to find him and offer him that chance but he wouldn't be able to read the Emperor's letters and would likely have chosen Sleepless or Corpse Collector, but divination from a Seer was needed to find the notebook. Did Klein somehow understand he wasn't the one to handle the future? Why did he go back home to kill himself and not instead die with the Welch and Naya? Whose feathers keep appearing and why? Is a god attempting to correct the future to avoid the annihilation of humanity or is the Fallen Creator behind it? But, like you said, the Fallen Creator has no feathers on its body. I wonder what the Evernight Goddess looks like in full view since she dealt with the Antignous family. Does she have feathers? Something I thought of when considering sequence names. Names having power is a common trope in story telling. Knowing the name of a demon allows you to vanquish them for instance. Klein calling the True Creator the Fallen Creator changes the way you see the entity. The potion names are no different but I found the names odd. Midnight Poet, Clown, Witch. These are odd names at first, but then I thought deeper. Midnight makes sense for sleepless but why the poet part? Inspiration comes at any time and to draw on it one must never sleep. Okay, but why does the Assassin path have witch and why turn you into a woman? Women are, arguably, the best assassins as men are often the targets. A woman can get closer to a man than any man ever could, generally, and then she can make him imbibe poison which can be interpreted as a potion which is what witches make. Clown... the strangest one but it makes sense to me. Clowns play the Fool, put on an act to entertain and aren't taken seriously. Certainly in our own world we generally don't take mystics seriously and we call people clowns as an insult. I don't know what full digestion will entail but I imagine that it perhaps will involve Klein using subterfuge in order to keep people's expectations of him low. He certainly has more power than he lets on already, but of course this is all just speculation. Rant over. Great vid.

The Abyssal Drink

After entering the realm of Beyonders, consuming the wrong things, seeing what shouldn't be seen, hearing what shouldn't be heard, and similar actions can trigger loss of control. Any experience or information becomes extremely precious—the names of potions, their formulas, and the correct methods of digestion all serve as highly valuable bargaining chips.

Fireball_clh

Is the feather like a quill pen? The whole writing sound effect made me wonder.

Frank Diabolos

Wow, what a treat. I am so happy that i found FlexiejayAnime as a reactor. So much fun watching you theorizing and analysing the story, especially the feather stuff. Great finding the violin tones during the 3 episode. Never noticed that. Better than documentarys on discovery channel 😉. Really really great entertainment. Keep up the entertaining "work" and I hope you never lose having fun while doing it. Okay enough of the glaze , lol. No in earnest great reaction and i am looking forward for the next episodes.

Silvanus2004

I'm only 25 minutes in, but this is awesome! I'm not sure if anyone else has yet pointed out the single note from episode 3. Even novel readers wouldn't know what kind of visual or music cues this adaptation will use or hide. I'm very, very happy to see that you're enjoying this story this much. It's a wonderful feeling to see others enjoying something I enjoyed too. Even though the adaptation has its flaws and I'd have loved to see a few things done differently, just for these shared moments of joy it is a huge success. Thank you so much for the reaction!

JJ

Yeah its crazy how they could mistranslate it that bad, it litteraly changes how the plot can be perceived

bblala

The more accurate translation would be “The Antigonous family was destroyed by the Evernight goddess at the end of the Fourth epoch”

Roon

Both Sirius and Vincent were part of the Aurora Order and plotted doomsday... Lanevus is presumably also affliated because he provided the pregnant Megose... Was that Honourific Name at the end the True Creator's? "The Lord that created everything. The Lord who reigns behind a curtain of shadows. The degenerate nature of all living things."

Sir Nil

Guess you got the secret organization a bit mix up. Here Vincent is (auroa order, the ones that want to get their True Creator to descend by doing crazy batshit stuff) used Welch to try to decipher what so special about the notebook since he did told the Oracle that in their hands it is just a normal notebook, so no Welch was not part of the cult. And the secret order is one that is trying to recover the the notebook since it was their own negligence that allow the notebook to be out. Both are doing their own things, difference from each other.

Lance Ma

the notebook scene at the beginning of episode is the previous event happening. The notebook is currently in the hands of Evernight Church. Also BIG BIG mistranslation, Evernight Goddes destroyed only the Antigonous family in the 4th Epoch, not all 4th Epoch

Dexter Chia

So hyped when you understood the plot and connections and hints when Leonard was reading that letter. Besides that, Maybe you misunderstood, not sure. But I will verify anyways. The red smokestacks is the result of Klein's divination when he divined about the real reason for his suicide. The reason he was pushed back was because his divination was interfered (hence they used the symbolism of multiple buildings blocking his vision from divining further). The only reason he suddenly was able to see the red smokestacks, was because his potion completely digested just then, therefore his spirituality became stronger which measns stronger/clearer divination. But even with his improved divination, he was only able to see the red smokestacks and not any more information. Also the scene after "One Month Prior" with the skull and pregnant lady ritual, I think that was not Klein's divination but just a scene for us viewers to know about. Amazing reaction. This episode barely has any action, but the dialogue and plot thickened so much. So glad you caught all the clues

SoySauce

Yeah! I thought I should go back and look at that moment. Didn’t he wonder if it was incomplete?

Jessica McCann

Was gonna comment :D

Harry Mann

There is a translation error when they say the 4th epoch was destroyed by evernight goddes. It should be: the antigonus family was destroyed by evernight goddes in 4h epoch.

Alpi

Also amazing video btw. I love how in depth you go with all of the researching and backtracking. During the feather rant I was stunned that most of the stuff you were on about I had no idea was in the episode, guess I gotta pay more attention.

Jam

An example of divination 'not being all powerful': in the web novel(not spoilers - previous content), when the clown from the secret order was fighting everyone, he initially ran away but later came back due to the puppet having everyone under it's control. Klein deduced that the clown from the secret order divined whether it was safe/nobody could move, which lead to his decision to come back, however, the grey fog somehow interfered with his divination and made Klein a non factor, resulting in Klein taking the clown by surprise and killing him as a measly sequence 9. Essentially, he was overly reliant on his divination and what it told him, rather than carefully observing the situation and being more cautious. Divination doesn't hold all of the answers.

Jam

In episode 4 the concealed eye was behind Klien when he was looking at Alger and Audrey's Pathway symbols, Audrey was a Dragon, Alger was a Storm, and Klien's was two different symbols including the eye of concealment.

Gray Hellsing

Thank you for the reaction 🤗
