MY HERO ACADEMIA Season 6 | Episodes 17 - 19 (EARLY UNCUT ACCESS)

Comments

1:40:16 I always think this. What about the Emperor of Japan, or the Prime Minister? We've seen the President of the United States before any of these two.

Owen Osborne-Lewis

She completely missed the point of Toya. Endeavor did want his child to pass All Might. But he wasn't "neglecting" Toya or keeping the chosen one away. Toya's quirk literally was killing him. It was burning his flesh every time he used it. Endeavor wanted to protect Toya, and that's why he tried to convince him to take a different job. But Toya was obsessed with fulfilling his father's dream, to the point where he wanted to kill Shoto, even as a child. Endeavor didn't want Toya to go near Shoto because he could see the obsession he'd put into his kid.

I would kill to see a fight between Muscular and Rappa

Omg It pisses me off when people (in the show) don't understand context and priorities... they're blaming everything on heroes when they did their best to stop the villains... yes, there was tragedy, but it could've been waaay worst!!! Best Jeanist is alive, the Twice dead, ok, heroes just put villains in jail or whatever, but if Hawks hadn't, the heroes would have been crushed!!! And the population with them!!! And talking about their personal home issues... what's with what? Everyone has personal issues but they're personal!!! Yes, Dabi is his son, and he's a villain, but he's not THE only villain doing bad things, and about Hawks parents the same!!! Why is that relevant when it comes to his hero job? His parents weren't great ok, but he's a case apart... FOCUS PEOPLE!!! Would they prefer no one helping? Oh no... that is also material to complain about... if heroes help, isn't enough, if they give up, well that's bad too 😒🙄😮‍💨 frustrating!!!

LOL In the third episode, Deku really reminds me of the scary rabbit dude from Donnie Darko - would dropping a plane engine on All For One do any good here?

Uraruka doesn't actually say, "Our hero academy". That's just the subtitlers' choice. She just says, "Hero academy". I like the subtitle version. As you indicated, it's a really nice touch in English, so I wanted to give proper credit to the right people, whoever they are. It must be humans doing that, right? AI wouldn't have added that tiny, touching change, would it?

I find the parallel between Endeavour and All For One very interesting. Each trying in their own way to raise a child who can defeat One For All. They each succeeded in creating villains who threaten to turn the world on its head. I said it way back in season 1: the whole ranking system is inherently anti-heroic. It drives heroes to compete with each other rather than promoting co-operation. Can you say Endeavour was a real hero when his number one priority wasn’t saving lives but surpassing All Might? He was saving lives in order to do that so you might argue it doesn’t matter but I’m guessing he became a hero with positive motives and was later driven to desperation by always being second to All Might. He destroyed his own family in pursuit of somehow overcoming his great rival. If a child of his could surpass All Might he could always look at that as his own personal victory. He became something akin to a mad scientist trying to get the correct formula to destroy the world. He produced a succession of offspring and abandoned each one who wasn’t perfect. One of those became possibly the second greatest threat to the world. The greatest threat, Shigaraki Tomura, was All For One’s entry into the competition. He raised that boy with fear and hatred and he primed him to destroy All Might (now Deku) for his own ambition, just as Endeavour raised his children only for his own ambition. All for One is trying to get One For All for himself and he’s using Shigaraki to achieve that ambition. Endeavour and All For One have a lot in common. The current number one hero and the number one villain. It’s very good writing. I have always admired the writing in this show. I stopped watching for other reasons. Most of the writing is top notch. Honestly, I get bored with shows where the good guys are always perfect and never lose. I much prefer these worlds in which everything is a stinking morass of despair and degradation in which it’s actually quite difficult to tell the good guys from the bad. Like Hawks was saying as he reflected on having murdered Twice. What a world, eh?

I low how in episode 17 the mother and even the son and daughter took responsibility for their own mistakes and failures. So far everything that had gone wrong in the past was thrown on the shoulders of Endeavor, which was not only unfair but also too much guilt and responsibility for him to carry. However, now that the load has been lessened, he can start healing again. After all, the mother was far from blameless as well. She chose to marry him, fully knowing what the marriage was for. She then allowed her growing hatred for her husband to consume her, ending up in her hurting their own children. What Endeavor did was close to unforgivable, but what she did was almost (if not equally) as bad. I don't think the children can be blamed for anything, but that doesn't mean they made no mistakes. The daughter decided to act as if everything was fine so she wouldn't have to deal with any of the problems, while the brother simply ran away from the problems altogether. Both of them failed their brother when he quite literally begged them for help. This show tends to be quite childish at times, but this was a very mature moment. I love how they dealt with such a dark topic and resolved it in such a good way.

Normal people are people born with quirks it's the norm and bakugou was lucky he didn't keep one for all the mf would've died probably at like 30 or younger with how much stronger it's gotten lol

The first time I saw promo art of Deku wearing Gran Torinos cape I thought for sure Gran Torino was dead and I got so sad. I was so happy to learn he's still alive.

A "normal" person in MHA universe is someone who has a quirk, in case your wondering.
