I mean, it kinda feels like a 'fake it 'til you make it' situation since Evil Eye has way more endurance and strength and technically won all of his fights so far, but sure. As long as Evil Eye thinks he's weaker that's enough for now, lol

2025-08-31 18:37:44 +0000 UTCPoor Evil Eye, man. He was just a little child when he was imprisoned and burned alive as a sacrifice to this ancient monster. (Damn, that's really dark now that I think about it...) He never got to develop past that point and so he should still be treated as a little child. Because of his crushing loneliness all he ever wanted was to play with other people. (Ffs, this show being 'dark' doesn't really cut it anymore.) However, every single time he made contact with others they ended up killing themselves, so now he draws a direct connection between playing with others and killing them and he can't really distinguish the two anymore. Honestly, what on Earth is this show? They make a whole bunch of jokes as comic relief and I'm starting to see why. If I summarize the plot of Evil Eye like this things are just ridiculously depressive and sinister. This is crazy. Oh, one little detail as a side note: notice how Okarun has grown physically. The fact that he can now move like a hundred times faster means he must've become way stronger to deal with that amount of stress on his body. Replay that fight and you'll notice all of it happened within a couple of seconds.

The Director said that they deliberately refrained from Okarun's powers to change the whole environment until this moment (up until now it was only flashes, and all red environment moments in S1 were Turbo Granny, not Okarun). Director also said that he recommends rewatching S1Ep5 to better appreciate what's about to come next 😉

2025-08-30 00:46:46 +0000 UTCmomo getting so blindsided by that question she forgot to breath is hilarious! a interesting thing the anime is doing is that they have actually changed okaruns hair from its style in the manga. they kept the perm/ spiky hairstyle but in the manga his hair lays much flatter. i really like that they are keeping the spiky hair, it makes him look taller and more confident.

They really make you think he’s gonna be a sukuna type character then pull a switcheroo and reveal that he’s basically just a 2nd grader with adhd and anger management issues lol the first hint at it was back in the ep where he fights Seiko and he goes “I only wanna talk about what I wanna talk about and I’m hungry” at the time it’s like wtf but now it’s like nah he just needs some apple slices and a nap 😂 also I can’t remember have you slowed down the part toward the end of the op where Okarun is running through the tunnel with Momo on his back? It’s really interesting to see it go by frame by frame
