Saying we don’t even have clues is kinda crazy tho. We have a lot of information of what will be the one piece

2025-10-19 10:08:24 +0000 UTCI love this set of episodes because of how it showcases the aftereffects & aftermath of the battle and strife between the armies and what Crocodile did to the country with the truth coming to light as well as the relief everyone in the country is feeling and the response of government to everything that went down. I like how realistic the reaction of the rebel Army is not being willing to just accept Vivi’s words because of all the suffering they think Kingdom caused because of all of Baroque Works BS. I love that Igaram had such a pivotal role in revealing the truth finding & bringing that child in front of everyone to tell his story and defusing the tensions. It’s heartwarming to see Vivi’s reaction to Igaram being alive but I love that she has formed such a close bond with the crew that the 1st thing she worries about is her crew & where they are. I love how we already saw the humble side of Cobra in the last set with him thanking a pirate but it just continues this time with him carrying Luffy after he carried the King & Robin out of the collapsing tomb. I think it’s funny how Sanji says that’s our guy about Luffy as well as the reactions to learning that this is Vivi’s father. I love how the Straw Hats put on a strong front to reassure Vivi and not make her worry so that she can focus on what’s most important her country & people most obvious when they collapse as soon as she is so far away it’s so sweet/wholesome. I like how Vivi doesn’t know what to say to the people because it makes sense with her having less experience with inspiring others on that scale as her father & has been away from being a Princess for a long time although I think she is plenty inspiring in other ways. Cobra’s speech not what they have lost & guilt being natural is profound especially with his talk of focusing on the future & making the kingdom even better. It’s cute & endearing that Vivi still calls Koza leader even though it’s been a longtime since they were kids. I love that Koza tells her to focus on herself instead of worrying about others like always it’s sweet. I’m down for shipping Vivi & Nami but I also like the Vivi & Koza ship because both of those relationships are close and heartwarming. I don’t have much to say about the Marine content in this set I haven’t said before but I love seeing more of Tashigi’s struggles & I really respect how she helps out the unconscious Smoker because while she doesn’t like it she is grateful to & respects what they did. I like learning more about Smoker’s relationships within the Marines/his past as well as his feelings about the higher ups/government. I think 1 of the best parts of that stuff is Tashigi being so frustrated that she couldn’t follow her Justice because she wasn’t strong enough that she’s crying & Smoker telling her the only choice when faced with that feeling is to get stronger it may seem harsh but I think that is something that really resonates with her. It unfortunately doesn’t surprise me that the government is covering up the involvement of the Smoker in this incident wanting to save face what I like Is Smoker giving credit to them in his report & getting angry that he & Tashigi are the ones being given credit instead. And part of that anger is because he believes people should be given to those who deserve it but a bigger part is he knows how upset Tashigi already is & the government is going to spit in her face with with bureaucratic BS. I respect him for being willing to insult the higher ups over this especially in the manga where he says eat shit instead of go to hell which is a lots more insulting & conveys his anger more. I love the quiet moments of this aftermath segment just as much if not more than the loud parts because it gives you time to breathe & sit with your thoughts after everything that happened. It puts a smile on my face to see the Straw Hats finally getting to rest & I like how the ways these characters each sleep is a little different because they have different personalities. I love how Vivi’s staying awake listening to the rain I agree with you it must be comforting/relaxing after everything but I imagine it’s also her getting to really let her guard down after a lot of stressful/traumatizing stuff much like a lot of the slice of life moments she had with the crew and I like how I was the 1 who came to check on her it’s a sweet moment. Also yeah there are humans & One Piece humans LOL. I love that Vivi was helping take care of Luffy while he was out it’s sweet/wholesome. It’s nice to see parts of the rebuilding process in the aftermath part of the arc when Oda is good at the human element of things. There is great humor in this set especially Chaka telling the government the are not in the Palace as 2 of them walk by but nothing is funnier than the unhinged moment of Jango & Fullbody having a dance party on the ship they just took out LMAO. I like that while it’s funny to see the Straw Hats draw the more serious soldiers & King into their chaos during the banquet the focus being more on the happiness & joy they bring to people is great and they certainly needed it. I love that you took note of Luffy’s smile 1st and I don’t blame you it’s the most wholesome thing in the world. The scene Is unhinged but I love it because we get to see Usopp & Luffy acting like brothers & the legendary Happiness Punch. Nami is wild for doing that to get the pervy guys to leave but I respect the confidence she has in her sexuality & femininity also the guys deserved it LOL. Also I know we don’t see it but I know she got some money out of the guys. I know that Vivi was blushing because she was scandalized Nami did that but just for fun because of my ship and not seriously I like to imagine she was blushing for another reason as well <3. The pervy joke was a bit much & weird for me but I’m happy that it gave us 1 of the best King Cobra moments with him giving the lowest bow of thanks possible showing a lot of humility & humbleness that unfortunately a lot of Royals would not be capable of doing which is another example of why he is a great King & person. I love the quote about there being no such thing as a naked King he’s not a king in this moment just a man grateful to the people who helped him, his daughter & his people/country it’s a powerful sentiment. It’s great writing to have Vivi struggle with the choice between going with her crew or staying in Alabasta as Princess because it shows how much she cares about/loves the crew after the adventures they shared but also shows how much she loves her country. I like that the crew end up giving her the chance to really think about her decision because of how big it is showing a lot of respect & consideration. It’s really cool that Zoro has a wanted poster now & Luffy’s has gone up & I love the kindness shown that they wanted to warn the Straw Hats that they are more notorious now but I like how Vivi knows them so well she understands the new bounties won’t change anything for them. I enjoy the way Oda writes Vivi thinking about this late at night because it’s clear that she is taking everything into consideration because of the enormity of the decision & the animation emphasizes that and I love that Karoo is a big focus she has. And I love how it is a moment filled with melancholic/bittersweet feelings. Also I love that being Princess she probably sees it as an honor because she loves her country so much but likes the idea of being a pirate as well. You might not like Karoo or find him cute when he is 1st introduced but I love how Oda gets you to love that damn duck LOL. I almost forgot but I like the importance that’s placed on Crocodile’s arrest & how it feels grand it emphasizes how crazy and serious losing his status is. I love your joke when talking about the wanted posters with the idea that people seeing that smile alongside that amount of money might think Luffy is the devil LMAO it’s hilarious because we know what he’s really like although you’re probably right that people will see that face as he beats them up so in a way to his enemies at least he kind of is a devil LOL. Finally I agree with you that Oda is great at wrapping up arcs I love what you mentioned enjoying about this wrap up stuff. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

2025-09-29 02:30:02 +0000 UTCthis is just my impression but Tashigi is frustrated, so she probably wouldn't hang around the Straw Hats just like Smoker stayed away after he let them go. So the palace guards probably took the crew inside. Sanji's last words I think was "We'll meet you in the palace" or maybe Nami said that, not sure. Chopper said "I'm hungry" innocently... while Luffy was totally unconscious and couldn't say it. The reason why Smoker and Tashigi would stay away is because they're Navy officers and they can't set a bad example, they can't appear chummy with pirates. Lower ranked Navy though, have less responsibility and have more freedom... in a narrow sense. Also... to think about it more, if Tashigi were to touch the Straw Hats she would have to arrest them. She has to use a no touch approach... so that later it can be officially recorded that the Straw Hats escaped her clutches... She can't clutch or grab them to take them into the palace, if she grabs them at all she'll have to take them into custody. She was arguing with a lower rank "I won't allow you to touch them at this time!" So more than likely they left them as they were, to pretend they never found them. Later in the episode it was worded... "I was unable to capture the Straw Hats" or something like that. But again Smoker takes all responsibility.

2025-09-28 19:01:30 +0000 UTCRain dance boat... So they need a reason to basically strip Crocodile of his Warlord title. Smoker said something like "An emergency has come up" ?? "and I have to go to sea..." You take care of thing here and follow your justice... "Whatever happens I will take responsibility." "Be prepared to receive a call from me at any time." Next we hear Smoker talking to Tashigi over a transpoder... So then Tashigi walks over to the unconscious Crocodile and executes the removal of his titles... "An illegal rain making boat has been found in the waters..." so this is what Smoker was up to, we see him chilling on that boat. Dance powder use is illegal by the World Government or something like that. This is how Tashigi said it and removed Crocodile's titles. Later Smoker says to bring Crocodile. A coin is flipped to see who... does the deed?, who brings Crocodile in. Was there a scene where he was taken to the ship, Hina's ship, I don't know.

2025-09-24 19:48:16 +0000 UTCThese end of arc episodes are almost always my favorite in every arc lol Oda puts a very neat little bow on every one of them & the interactions and dialogue between characters usually perk your ears and raise eyebrows like the wonderful “Happiness Punch”🤣
TheKiD40
2025-09-24 19:25:59 +0000 UTCI dont know if you got it because its very briefly adressed and partly left for the expectator to understand but Crocodile had a rain-making ship sailing outside of Alabasta, thus creatic the prolonged drought inside of the country, since the rain was being dragged towards the zone where the ship sailed. Smoker captured it and thats why the drought stopped immediately.

2025-09-24 16:00:39 +0000 UTCSomething that shows a little more about Hina's character is that she always refers to herself in 3rd Person, except shes talking to someone she respects. The Subtitles say "im dissapointed" but she actually says "Hina is dissapointed"

2025-09-24 15:12:54 +0000 UTCThere’s really no point now because the arc is basically over but vivi’s name is pronounced VEE-VEE. Just felt the need to say that because you keep saying VI-VEE and I was surprised nobody said anything about it yet. Great video as always😂 (also karoo’s name is pronounced KAH-ROO). Can’t wait until the next reaction🔥

2025-09-24 14:45:20 +0000 UTC18:35 It's so symbolic how when Cobra says "Alabasta Kingdom!" it pans to the crowd, to symbolize once again that the country is it's people.

2025-09-24 12:51:31 +0000 UTCIf you go back to the episode where the explosion happened to Igaram we saw a frame of hands then explosions. Back then we didn’t really know what happened but since we understand their abilities now I think this is what happened: Mr 5 placed explosives in Igaram’s ship and Miss All Sunday use her hands to pull him off the ship thus saving his life.

2025-09-24 11:56:04 +0000 UTCyes, it's even more badass. i think the only subs that translated it correctly were fan-subs back in the days.

2025-09-24 11:40:57 +0000 UTCThe shot of Tashigi and Smoker saying "If you're frustrated enough to cry get stronger" always gets me. The Grand Line is a hard place and I think we all understand, if Tashigi was a true target/enemy of Nico Robin or Crocodile, she'd be dead. The reason she's alive today is because she wasn't regarded as an obstacle worthy to kill.

2025-09-24 06:22:55 +0000 UTCSo technically, where Nina appears in Alabasta isn’t the first time she was shown. Since the anime doesn’t adapt cover stories beyond the Buggy and Coby and helmeppo one, Hina first appeared in Jangos Dance Paradice. You reacted to it during your first view of the cover stories. And during that cover story in the one where Hina appears is where the manga was when bon clay Mr 2 was pretending to be the king. As pictured here, is where Hina is -> https://dwgkfo5b3odmw.cloudfront.net/manga/thumbs/shonenjump/onepiece/thumb_157_ONP19_171_web.jpg

2025-09-24 06:00:22 +0000 UTCHina's rank is revealed in the manga when she was first introduced as "Captain" so she's the same rank as Smoker. One thing to keep note of when speaking of the Marines is to try to figure out how they define and carry out their "Justice." Episode 128 is one of my favorite episodes, in regards to its comedy. The banquet, the bath scene, Nami's misdirection/callback to her original deal with Vivi, Bon Clay's return, etc. There are funnier moments in the series, but to find so many gems strung together in one episode is rare. Since you mentioned Zoro's training, I was less curious about his strength to hold the boulders up but more curious as to how he got them both on his arm in the first place.

2025-09-24 05:09:17 +0000 UTCThe thing about what the One Piece is is that we still don’t know or even have a hint to what it is. But I and many others want it to be something that can’t easily be looked up. Like if someone wants to know what it, they can look it up and it will give them the answer, but whatever it is probably won’t be satisfactory for that person. You probably won’t appreciate or fully understand why because you didn’t go through the whole thing. So when one piece finally ends, the main question for new comers will be not “What is the one piece?”, but “Why is this the one piece”
Gavin Hintz
2025-09-24 05:02:39 +0000 UTCAnother thing that was lost in the translation of the subtitles, is a quirk of Hina's speech-- she routinely speaks in the third person (e.g., "Hina failed, or Hina disappointed"), a trait stereotypical in Japanese media of young children and women trying to put on a "cute and innocent" air. This results in a striking contrast between her speech pattern and her sharp, coolheaded demeanor. Her reasons for this, if any, remain unknown. But that's how we know her name is Hina in her first scene with Smoker.

2025-09-24 04:22:10 +0000 UTCSo as indicated by "We both joined the marines the same year" Smoker and Hina were fellow Marine/Navy recruits and have risen up through the ranks. And maybe this gets lost in translation in English, but in Japanese there's a familiarity and a playfulness to their banter. Now, this is just my headcanon, and it'll probably never be verified, but maybe they had a thing early on in their youth, and for whatever reason it didn't work out, but they remained close and their relationship transformed into the friendship we see now. They can freely criticize each other to each others faces, but there's a warmth and comfortable feeling underneath, because they've known each other for so long. It feels like settling disagreements with a coin flip is a habit of theirs.
