I think the most painful part of this episode is the fact that Nana Shimura was telling Deku to give up on trying to save Shigaraki, who is her own flesh and blood. Something about that really hit me hard, its a piece of story telling that is very subtle, and tells us that Nana had given up a long time ago, giving us more backstory on a character we only ever see portrayed as heroic and immovable. Great way to humanize such a character, and incredible story telling. I am so excited for the rest of this season!

"Save" here doesn't have the meaning you think it does, I won't spoil, but it should be obvious that shigaraki doesn't escape the story without consequences for his actions

If his mum dies will Deku just forgive him and say he knows Shigaraki is just throwing a tantrum? At this point I hope Shigaraki kills a ton of people just to watch Deku fall apart.
