remaking some maps!

greetings users! some updates for the vn, im remaking some maps so they can go more on the same style as the newer maps, im going for a bit of comic style on the end, and trying new "camera views" too, trying to make them more dramatic or dynamic, im remaking these two first because im trying a plugin that will work when a dialog happens, so i can reduce the quantity of pictures used on maps and help me not to get too confused when working on dialogs on a map, i... understand that maybe the users dont get this, so forget all this lool, the news are, that some maps are getting an upgrade

also i did some demo tests with some of you! and now i have things to work on and to change, a bit things will change on the prologue dialogs too based on the feedback

remaking some maps! remaking some maps!

Honestly it kinda sounds like you already have made the decision to move to the newer engine, since it won't lag as much, and won't need events to be plug ins, and probably the game design itself is more made for that kind of engine. But that's just my thoughts on it, and seeing all you wrote and the struggles RPG maker has been giving you... seems for the best. Also looking up Godot Engine it seems it was made for all kinds of games, unlike RPG maker which specifically is for RPG's. And since your making a point and click adventure game it would fit well with the engine.

ha hah also sorry user for the tldr xDDD i just think i found the chance to explain a bit more what its happening behind curtains XD, still im working on things i can work by myself wich is the graphic part and eventing parts, im just expecting that when the main obstacles wich are the menus and systems that will make the game run and have sense are completed then everything else will go smoothly, i hope, i hope XDD

the rpg maker let you do thing with the events itself, i mean, without codes, just with the tools the engine itself gives, showing pics, using variables, switches, conditions, with these tools you can do custom menus, systems and event battle systems too!, but the reality is that to make those you need to use a lot of events, and with a lot this can lead to lag, lag in the users computers would be a terrible experience x_x, thas why im always trying to find methods to minimize the use of events to evade this, thats why i was searching for a plugin maker, since they can make systems like these in code instead of using the engine tools, and since its code, the results sometimes surpase what eventing could do, the thing is that in this days is more common to work on newer apps, so even if the rpg maker mv have html support for their plugins, still they have certain tricks, user rick helped me with a plugin for the wardrove wich im polishing with the eventing part rn, but when we tried to edit existing plugins to add to the bag menu, we found that they were really confusing to do, certain things didnt work or didnt appear as intended, so we nerfed what we had on mind and just added what it could be added, this make us think that maybe its a better idea to just move the project to a newer engine that its currently having support and that its more easy to find help, im using the rpg maker mv version, wich isnt even the "newer" version released, the currently version s the mz for desktop rpg maker version, so its a bit complex to find support on plugin trying to mask it a bit, since this is a r18 project XD, but the main reason im a bit scared, its because a certain part of the game, wich is the journal, since it needs to update itself with a lot of info while the users are playing, new character appear, their names should be shown, their interest points, statistics, clues, the mc status, notes, missions, this specific part of the game needs a looooot of variables and info so if i do it via events, wich i still think im gonna do to test if i can, im gonna end with my mind exploding ha hah XDDD i need something solid on that part of the menu anyways to show user rick what my vision is, and to see if he want to try working on it, i think when working from zero on plugins its... not easy, but its more ordered and less confusing than editing a work someone else did and dinct leave room to add things on it XD

Alright, if it's not too rude to pry. What difficulties is RPG maker giving you that make you want to switch engines? Cause from what you've shown, it seems you've been able to do alot in the engine. And having the help of a plugin maker also seems to be making it work well.

yes, at least with the first scenario, that is kinda a "chapter 1", im doing this because i already have a lot of work done in this engine T_T, so im gonna stick until i finish this part, then i will see if godot is more versatile and if i can recrrate everything there without taking me a lot of time, i need to also learn a bit of godot too, if i see i can do it there, then i will move everything to godot instead

Wow, so stylized, really incredible work Zombie. Has a calm and eerie feel to it at the same time. You going to stick with RPG maker on the game? Or rebuild it all in Godot? I mean do whichever you think will be best for the game, but also the best for your sanity. Wish you the best and will wait on bated breath for the next build. Still take all the time you need no rush friend<3
