Post-Canon Sal (CW// mpreg / labor / hospitals / multiples

Even on your smallest posts I somehow come out with at least a paragraph or two. I do not understand how I manage that, so never ask me how. With that said, let's move forward! Why are neither Christian or Sal willing to expose their relationship to anyone? Is it due to Sal's history with Ericura, and neither of them wanting to potentially upset her? Is it a potential case of small town homophobia? At least more so on Christian's end, seeing as he is the Sherif of a small midwestern town during the 70's. The Sherif being outwardly gay might be taken very poorly. OR, are they keep thing sunder wraps for the sake of keeping a low profile? Not only for Christian, but also for Sal who has been in hiding for six years or more. Possibly all of the above? Also, to continue on the topic of Sal... MIA for SIX PLUS YEARS?!?!?!? Where has Sal been for all of that time? It has been made evident from prior posts that he has not been entirely with Christian that whole time. Though whether he was, or was not, with Christian, WHY was/is Sal hiding himself away? Clearly this takes place after Vali, Cat's miraculous resurrection, and Sal's stint in prison. Is all of this due to Sal's immense and ever growing shame, embarrassment, and self hatred? "Cat calls his spouses...." SPOUSES?! I thought Abigail had long since past on and was forever resting in Tartarus(?)...Purgatory....whatever term you use to refer to the afterlife as. Though, the next sentence indicates that only Marcus arrives and remains with Sal. SO is there a new spouse that we know nothing about? Or did we somehow patch in Abigail from the afterlife? On an adjacent note, why would Cat call his spouses to be with with Sal? Why would he not stay with him himself? Especially after just finding Sal after he had been missing for 6, or more, years? I would think that Cat would not want to let Sal out of his sights! Also Cat's a doctor, not to mention a seahorse father himself, so this situation is not to out of the norm for him. So how exactly is Marcus getting messed with? Is it due to the fact that Sal's answer does not correlate with his actual physical size? (Which I feel is something that Cat would have picked up on provided he is a doctor after all. Also, if he had bothered to stay with Sal.) So due to Marcus thinking that Sal is playing a joke on him, does that leave him suspicious of Sal? Marcus thinking that Sal is hiding something from him (even though he is)? Now, because I can not help but play the devil's advocate, what is Christian had not left Sal to get ice chips and events played out the same? What would have happened if Cat had found them together in the hospital with Sal in labor? Would that be enough to prompt the two of them to come out and tell Cat the truth? Also, does Christian discover that they have been found by Cat and just abandon Sal to his fate? Or is he going to be that creep that lingers from a distance and watches, but does not interact?
