He was played by Henry Winkler, who is still acting today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4isQUdVknE The term JUMPING THE SHARK (meaning when a show goes from good to bad) comes from Happy Days because The Fonz literally jumps a shark on some water skis as that show was coming to an end. A lot of famous people were in that show, but probably the most famous is Ron Howard. He was a childhood actor who became a famous director. He directed Beautiful Mind, Willow, and a bunch of other movies.
