This movie used the same technique as Sin City, which is in part why it did so well. 2 main reason the Spartans stopped the Persins. They wore bronze armor, and shields, against bamboo, wicker and leather armor and wood shields. Also, Leonides was a Brillant tactician. He understood how Xerxes fought, also the narrow section reduced their effeteness of their numbers.

If you want to see Gerard Butler in a complete different way, then watch "The Phantom of the Opera" movie. π Lan, Sparta and Athens were both Greek city-states. Back then there was no such thing as country that they would recognize today. each area was under their own leadership. Athens is considered the founder and beginning of democracy. Sometimes these city-states fought each other but they did unite in their fight against the Persians. Ancient Persia is current day Iran, but covered a much larger territory and included many different ethnic groups. The immortals were called that because they had so many that when one was killed another would take their place. This led their enemies to think they never lost a man, thus they were immortal. Great reaction as always!

I think you might really like Sucker Punch. That wasn't the actor from Gladiator Tien. In Gladiator, Russell Crowe plays the lead role, here it's Gerard Butler. An interesting movie with Gerard Butler that I would like to recommend is Law Abiding Citizen. That was an awesome reaction ladies, as always!π
