Barristan Selmy is not Jorahs father. He was the lord commander of the kings guard in season 1! Not the lord commander of the knights watch which is Jorahs father. Remember Barristan got fired from kings guard and he threw his sword at jeoffrey and said “melt it down and add it to the others!’

She can see some of the future, but it's not clear and like all prophecy can be open to interpretation. The show doesn't really go into the nature of the Gods. There are a lot of them. Some believe there is really only one God who has many faces. Sir Barristan Selmy was the head of the King's guard under the Targaryen King and then the Baratheon King afterwards. In an earlier episode he was forcibly retired by Joffrey when he became King.
