As requested by several of you, I have added a vegetarian option. I am not sure why I didn't add it to start with - I was vegan/vegetarian for 6 years myself lol! There aren't a ton of great BGC vegetarian options but you have tofu dogs, tofu hamburgers, mac & cheese and grilled cheese. Tons of carbs lol!
I also added an empty option which costs nothing to stock (obvs). This will let you place your own meals without having to pay to stock the buffet. Use the same link below to get the updated version!

I have been working on this buffet table for months. I have started over from scratch at least 4 times trying to make it better. I originally had the buffet as part of a counter and the interactions weren't very intuitive. I ended up figuring out how to make the buffet inserts cut out counters just like sinks do! So I ended up scrapping the version that included the counter and I feel like this gives you the most customizability to use however you want! There are two insert types - single and double. Both have the same stocking options
- Appetizers
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Meat
- Seafood
- Dessert
- Vegetarian (NEW! 10/22/20)
- Empty (NEW! 10/22/20)
For now all the available recipes are just from the base game. I am trying to figure out a way to properly test which expansion packs each user has so I can add more variety. But there are still quite a bit of options!
The buffet inserts start 'closed' with a top on. From there you can stock it with any one of the options. It will spawn multi-serve, consumable foods in the buffet trays. Any sim, NPC etc, can grab a helping! To change the buffet type just close the buffet and choose a new option.
Previously I stocked the buffet with 'deco' items and required the sim to then order from the buffet after the deco food spawned. I think this new method is more intuitive to players. If you want a custom setup you can just delete/move the food items in the tray and place your own in there.
I included a decor topping insert and a sneeze guard to use with them as well. As always, please give me any feedback or suggestions!

2021-02-13 20:52:31 +0000 UTCit needs to go on the bigger sized counters... it uses a sink slot, so if you can put a sink on a counter, you should be able to place these! you cant place them if there is a dishwasher in the counter already. i was actually testing a new buffet table that works with the inserts. if you shoot me a dm i can send that to you and you can also see if that works.... but also it should really work on any counter - CC or EA

2020-10-22 12:02:48 +0000 UTCI love this, and it's really useful. I'm just having one problem - there's no way to clean it out if the food goes bad. So I have all of these green fumes coming from the buffet and to fix it I either have to delete the tray or restock it.

2020-10-09 07:06:12 +0000 UTCIs anyone else having trouble with the sneeze guard not lining up on kitchen counters? The sneeze guards slot on top of the inserts in my game. For now I'll just use the inserts without the sneeze guard. Such an amazing piece.

2020-10-07 14:49:35 +0000 UTCSo I've been trying this out in game today and I love it! it's great for quick spawning plates of food to stick in the Fridge Display so toddlers dont have to bitch that they're hungry. I love that it goes on the kitchen counters so I dont have to find any additional space if my sims have a small home.
