In Your Safe - "Piggy Banks"
Added 2020-11-09 09:44:35 +0000 UTCThis was requested by many of you! The idea was to make the functionality of the massive (no surprise there) vault from the Get Famous EP in a smaller package size. The "piggy bank" is in quotes because in addition to making a traditional piggy bank, I also added a money jar and bag of money that have the same functionality.
How it works is (hopefully) simple. When you first place the item, it is unowned which allows any sim to add money to it. The first time a sim adds money to one of the items, they "own" it which means from that point on only they can add/take money from it. I did add the ability for sims with certain traits (evil, mischievous, kleptomaniac, etc.) to steal from other sim's "piggy banks". If the owner sim is around when money is stolen, it will affect their relationship.
If you hover over the item, it will show the amount stored in the piggy bank and who it is owned by. If you sell/delete the item, you will get back the value of the item and the amount of money that was stored in it.
If you have my Highway Petrol Set there is an ATM in it which I have also added this feature to.
Everything is base game compatible!

Question: Since only the designated owner of the object can add to the piggy bank, do you think you could add for parents to add funds to piggy banks owned by their children/teens? Would add another level of realism to the game. Think of it as giving little Timmy an extra 50 simoleons for good grades or doing chores!

I am downloading these immediately. I've been in a Sims slump recently, haven't played in weeks. This totally makes me want to fire up the game and get my teens saving for college. Love this!

2020-11-09 20:58:48 +0000 UTChello and welcome!! so this has been a struggle for me. i did update this set with the file since sfs is currently being unusably slow. a week or two ago i had asked patrons what their preference was for hosting (https://www.patreon.com/posts/43078805). the overwhelming response i got was to stick with sims file share. i can post files to pateron posts like i did here, but the problem is it makes updating files really difficult. i also post files the files to my website so using simsfileshare gives me one spot to update. so i dont go back and update patreon posts with updated files cause it gets too confusing which is the most up to date if that makes sense. but for now, i have added this file to the post and i think most of my most recent sets i attached the package files to the post!

I'm still happy I became a patron as I really like your cc - have you considered uploading your non-TSR sets directly to Patreon as well as through simfileshare, as they often have issues. Thanks for all your hard work!!
