Feel The Burn Fireplace Inserts
Added 2020-12-13 19:53:01 +0000 UTCWhew these were a doozy but I finally managed to pull it off!! I love seeing how much I can do with an item. I love fireplaces but always kinda was off put by the size of the fireplaces. I went about seeing if I could manage to make in-wall fireplace and after lots of wine and tears - I DID IT!
I have also made some standalone firewood inserts so you can kinda DIY your own fireplace using windows/walls or all the other creative things you talented simmies do!
I have made custom tuning for these as it was needed in order for them to be useable in the walls. And I have also went ahead and auto-upgraded these to be fireproof!
These can go on outdoor facing or indoor facing walls, however one thing I did notice and was not able to fully fix without some wonky side affects is that the game thinks the fireplace cutout is a hole in the wall. So if the fireplace is on an outdoor facing wall and its super sunny out, it will let in some light. You can fix this by building a sort of chimney behind it with a wall and all is fixed. This isn't an issue on indoor walls.
