Absolutely Radishing Garden Planters

I could have probably gone to google sooner than I did, but it should be intuitive! There are a lot of notes here and that is because gardening in sims is... well you know. You can probably skip most of this and still use them just fine, but I wanted to add the notes so you can get the full use out of them. And because I love talking. ;)
That being said, this set aims to provide more aesthetic options for pots/planters while also improving the usability of them. The current EA method of gardening requires you to: buy a seed packet from a planter, go to your sim inventory to open that packet (hopefully getting the seed you want), live drag and drop the seed into a planter/pot, then click on the seed for your sim to plant it. W H Y
Well no more! I wrote custom coding for all of the planters in this set which lets you purchase, place, and plant seeds all in one interaction! You can either choose a seed from your sim's inventory or purchase a specific seed. The seed will automatically be placed in the planter/pot and your sim will then autonomously plant the seed. If you aren't ready to plant you can also just purchase specific seeds (not seed packets!) from the planter and straight to your sim's inventory.
All of the planters are fully functional! Your sim can plant, weed, water, fertilize, etc! However, on a few of the planters the dirt mound may be offset during the planting animation. As soon as your sim is done planting it will snap to place. Kinda wonky for a really short time, but this means no overrides/less conflicts/full compatibility.
One of my favorite pieces are the modular, farming mounds. These pieces can be seamlessly tiled to give the look of outdoor farming but with the added features of my planters. I made the dirt mounds in 5 different colors to match your lot's terrain!
This is just my first version of these planters and I plan to improve after getting some of your feedback! I did ask for suggestions and I got responses all over the board which is not suprising after looking how everything is set up. Some of you said gardening was too easy and others said it was super hard. Plant growth/quality/evolution is very dependent on sim's traits, lot type, and several other factors. With these custom planters, I am able to control things such as the growth rate, how fast plants become dry, weeds, and evolution time. To start, I have made two versions: basic and hydroponic.
The basic version works just like a standard planter - nothing special. The hydroponic planter keeps your plants hydrated at all times and prevents weed spawning. The evolution and growth times are normal (the Eco-Living hydroponic planter slowed these by 50%).
You will want to download one or the other - not both. The coding applies all of my custom planters, so if you download the hydroponic planter version - all of them will have the hydroponic soil settings. I did it this way because otherwise I would have to create duplicates of the same object and I thought that would get confusing. If you don't like this or have another idea lemme know! Also if you want more variations like faster growth/evolve time I can add those as well!

Final thoughts:
- Everything is BGC, per usual.
- I am working on a fertilize all option. I know it's a pain to do one-by-one and I haven't figured out a good way around this yet.
- I am almost done with a sprinkler set that will work indoors/outdoors and allow you to choose custom ranges for how far the water reaches (this will also be BGC).
- I am sure there are more requests for planter/pot styles... please write them in the comments. I am happy to add more.
Final, final thought:
One (kinda) big caveat with this set... in order for these interactions to be compatible with custom harvestables I was not able to automatically test for tree seeds vs. smaller seeds. So for the larger planters (that hold multiple plants), the seed will not place automatically and you will have to drag and drop it. But this works fine on the pots (holds a single plant) and either trees or small plants can be auto-placed and planted. I worked on this feature for days with no luck.... hopefully I will find a workaround for this in the future!

Yay that makes me so happy!! I love the way u can make farms look like they have rows too :) I was always a cheater when I played sims, so that bit def comes out in some of the things I make :)

I'm all for challenge in ts4, but also, when I have a sim with a veritable farm of harvestables, I'm super happy to not have to water them all daily if I don't want to. The farm soil sections bit is genius too!
