You all have been asking for this... foreverrrrrr. (for-ev-er... for-ev-er... for-ev-er... sandlot anyone?). I had no idea how I was going to make a cupcake machine, cause really these things should just be baked in an oven. As always, I am not a fan of overriding or scripts as they can cause conflicts and issues. So similar to my other food mods, the baking interactions are started from a source object which is a super cute frosting piping bag. You can place and use it from the world, your sims inventory, or the fridge inventory.

It works by searching the world for a fridge and oven which means it isn't tied to specific objects and will work with any EA or CC appliances. Sims are also able to back in the new mini counter ovens! After you start the baking interaction the sims will grab ingredients, prep, and bake as normal! To put the sprinkles on top, I made a ton of custom pans that the sims use in the animations to match what they are cooking.
I keep the skill requirements and building the same as the original cupcake factory machine. Basically everything uses the baking skill except the cupcakes which use the cooking skill. Why? No idea, but I thought there might be some reason to it. Perhaps because the cupcakes are actually BGC and the others aren't? Only EA knows! There are a total of 27 baking recipes and 8 cupcake recipes.

NOTE: This does require Get To Work for the moment! I think most of the cupcakes are actually BGC so I will look into converting those for you BG players ♥

2021-07-01 20:43:12 +0000 UTCI love the idea of this, but it doesn't work in my game! Whenever I click bake pastries or cook cupcakes, the action cancels out. I have GTW installed, and I'm also using CC counters with one of the DHD ovens slotted into it. Could that be making it not work?
