Filthy Fabulous - OTG & Rags to Riches Set (Part 1)

This is part 1 of the Filthy Fabulous set which is focused on off the grid (OTG) & Rags to Riches gameplay! Before getting into the details, I wanted to address poverty and homelessness. Please take a moment to read my PSA on these which also has a list of resources and links.
This is the most items I have created in a very, very long time. I think the last time I made an actual set of items was the RV There Yet set almost a year ago! I loved getting back to my roots and I hope you enjoy the items (the toilet is by far my fav).
I need to take a few days off to focus on fixing bugs in other sets so I decided to split the set and release the completed items now so you could start playing with them! I have a ton of other items that are ~75% done that I am going to release as part 2 in the next week or two! Some of these items include limited use hygiene products, a shelter that provides… shelter, market for buying & selling items, and cleaning set for repairing furniture salvaged from the dumpster. I will show all the WIP items at the end of the livestream today!
Part 1 includes 12 items all of which are BGC & OTG compatible:
- 3 chair styles, all compatible with tables/desks
- Candle that can go into your sim’s inventory
- Coffee table
- Dining table that also works as a desk
- Single mattress & cardboard sleeping mat
- Usable by all ages
- Uncomfortable & poor sleep moodlets
- Regenerates energy slower than regular beds
- Bucket shower
- Modified water effect to looks as if its dripping from bucket
- OTG compatible with water surplus, after collecting water, or with eco-upgrades
- Fire Drum
- Functional bonfire & grill
- Hangout with friends, provides warmth, & other fun interactions
- Cook grill-compatible foods & herbal remedies
- Live drag trash, food, homework, art, music & toys into the fire to burn (fire must be lit!)
- Bucket toilet
- Always OTG compatible
- Becomes increasingly stinky & negative environment modifier with each use
- Requires emptying after 3 uses
- Empty just like a trash can

Hi! Question. Will you be updating the cardboard mat with the new sleeping animation from werewolves where they sleep curled up on the ground? I would really like to see that instead of my sims tushy sticking up in the air.

2022-05-09 05:44:49 +0000 UTCHi I noticed this evening that homework glitches out when the teenage Sim puts their book on the trashy table. The animation is wonky because the Sim puts the book down in front of one chair and then goes to sit elsewhere and his arm goes all weird as he's turning pages. But then if I put the homework on the table myself and tell the Sim to do it the queued action just cancels. Sorry to be a pain because other than that teeny glitch everything's pretty awesome :)

2022-02-06 23:37:16 +0000 UTCThank you for the PSA. I had a similar conversation w/ my sister who was appalled by the challenge, having been homeless, and realistic challenges that she faced. Of course playing in a game is not the same, but hopefully gets people thinking. I recently tried to improve my communities to assist the homeless (rags to riches) and low income (no cheats) sims by creating better community lots. While they are still specialized, they have more amenities that can be used for free. One option incorporates a shelter with the addition of a shower room, small kitchen, and a few small bunk rooms as well as a small library, arts/crafts room and computer lab. In game, this is cheating, but IRL, I would want these available to me to help get me back on my feet. In game: I Love These! Looking forward to your live!
