I agree, i pretty much faded after S6, from memory (as i saw it on TV the first time round) there was quite a gap between S6 and S7 and they re-released the series. remastered in between, so it kind of lost momentum... 1-6 are brilliant though - as is the ausio book read by Chris Barrie... Good times, great days...

2025-03-04 18:45:36 +0000 UTCSeries 7 and 8 Kinda close the loop on classic red dwarf for me. although the quality drops for the most part, it still feels like a genuine continuation from the end of series 6.. A lot of the stuff after 8 is really hit and miss. the last season they made has some really good episodes in that feel somewhat reminiscent of the glory days, but they never quite capture the magic of the classic period.

2024-03-10 15:43:42 +0000 UTCMuch of this episode was being rewritten/written as they were filming it as Rob and Doug (writers) hadn't got a decent episode written in time for filming . New lines were appearing on screens infront of the actors for them to perform. I think they all styled it out rather well.
