♦ [LIVE] Did I really just declare war on the Empire??? AMA

I know people are curious to know why I declared war on the Empire, like I just woke up one day and decided “hey, let’s spice things up.” Cute theory, but no.
Here’s the thing: they built their whole rep on fear, on making people believe the city needed them. That was their actual power. All I did was stand up and say, “Actually, you don’t.”
I’m not doing this just to knock over some racists in stupid costumes. I’m doing it because I don’t want my students, or anyone else, growing up in a city where gangs get to write the rules.
So yeah, call it war if you want. I call it clearing the board. And I’m doing it out in the open, because I am not afraid of the consequences. I’ll reshape this city in daylight, right where everyone can see it happen.

Wait this is actually him???
► SixEyesSensei (Verified) (Original Poster):
Would a fake be this pretty?
► HippieDun:
@ SixEyesSensei: HOLY SHIT!!!

► Webofnut:
Why didn’t you just join the Protectorate if you’re serious about protecting the city?
► SixEyesSensei (Verified) (Original Poster):
@ Webofnut: Because they have boring meetings and I hate paperwork.
► CommercialOpening569:
This guy is all bark. The Empire has the power and influence to take that [censored] easily.
► Amyfan_4ever:
Do you actually think you can wipe out the ENTIRE Empire Eighty-Eight by yourself?
► SixEyesSensei (Verified) (Original Poster):
@ Amyfan_4ever: Yes. Next question.
► TheSecondAJ:
I don’t even care if he’s exaggerating. For the first time in YEARS, someone actually stood up to one of the gangs in public. Do you understand how big that is???
► Paladin441:
This is dangerous. He’s drawing a target on all of us. When the Empire retaliates, civilians are going to pay.
► SixEyesSensei (Verified) (Original Poster):
@ Paladin441: No they won’t. Because I won’t let them.
► WhiteHorsePower:
Bet you won’t show up if Kaiser actually calls you out.
► SixEyesSensei (Verified) (Original Poster):
@ WhiteHorsePower: Bet I will. Want me to sign it in blood?

HOLY SHIT DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT PRESS CONFERENCE??? HE JUST STRAIGHT UP SAID “YOU DON’T NEED THE EMPIRE ANYMORE.” LIKE HE LOOKED INTO THE CAMERA AND DARED KAISER TO COME FIND HIM.

► Delahunt:
In two days he’ll be [censored]. Don’t get your hopes up, losers.
► VistaStansUnite:
lmao cope harder. Kaiser couldn’t even touch Lung without half the city burning. and this guy made Lung look like a chihuahua.
► Splattypus:
The important part isn’t what he said, it’s HOW he said it. This wasn’t a Protectorate “we will investigate” snoozefest. It was a straight-up challenge. The confidence is insane. People are already replaying the clip of him showing his eye.

[embedded video] [GIF of Gojo tugging down the blindfold → blue eye glint → “I’ll be waiting.”]
new meme template, calling it now.
► AgentSnazz:
PHO is on FIRE. Half of Brockton Bay is making memes, the other half is freaking out, and Kaiser hasn’t put out a statement yet.
► Dykam:
Everyone’s on damage control.
► TuxGamer:
People acting like he’s the second coming. He’s one guy. You take him out and nothing changes. Empire’s not just capes, it’s families, jobs, and community. You don’t erase that with a smile and threats, explicit or not.
► Austinandkelly:
Cool speech, but I’ve seen enough capes talk big only to leave rubble behind. He says "he can keep things neat” like it’s a choice. We’ll see how long that lasts when Fenja crashes onto a crowded street.
► TuxGamer:
“Do you want to live in fear of a gang or in the shadow of the hottest man alive?” — Gojo, basically.
► TheGnat:
Nah. This is dangerous. You don’t want vigilantes making themselves “symbols of peace.” That’s how you get dictators.
► Valkyr (Wiki Warrior):
@TheGnat: Dictator? The guy literally said he doesn’t want loyalty or worship, just for people to stop believing in a racist gang. That’s the opposite of a dictator, my dude.

Gojo leaned back in his chair, slouched so far he looked like he might slide right off, but instead held steady. His blindfold had been tugged down just enough to give the impression he was watching, though Taylor knew better, or thought she did. With Gojo, there was no certainty; if he said he could see the comments through the fabric, she half-believed him.
“Read ’em out loud,” Gojo said, waving his hand lazily. “I want to hear what my adoring public thinks.”
Taylor leveled him with a flat stare, the laptop warm against her knees, the PHO thread still a mess of fresh posts pouring in by the second.
“Your adoring public,” she said, “is currently debating whether you’re Brockton Bay’s symbol of hope or just a lunatic who’s going to get them all killed.”
“Perfect,” Gojo grinned. “Start with the lunatic ones. They usually have better insults.”
Suppressing a sigh, Taylor scrolled. “‘Cool speech, but I’ve seen enough capes talk big only to leave rubble behind. He says he can keep things neat’ like it’s a choice. We’ll see how long that lasts when Fenja crashes onto a crowded street.’”
Gojo barked a laugh. “That’ll help me more than it hurts. Nothing says ‘hero’ like catching a giant before she pancaked someone’s house.”
Taylor kept going, voice dry. “‘This is dangerous. You don’t want vigilantes making themselves ‘symbols of peace.’ That’s how you get dictators.’”
Gojo angled his head back, grinning at the ceiling. “Dictator? Please. Do I look like the paperwork type?”
Taylor scrolled again, her thumb pausing mid-swipe when her eyes caught on a longer post. She drew in a slow breath before reading aloud. “‘At least Kaiser actually cares about Brockton Bay’s future. Gojo’s just a tourist playing hero until he gets bored.’”
The last word slipped out quieter than the rest, her tone dipping almost imperceptibly, like the sentence affected her more than she wanted it to.
For once, Gojo didn’t fire back right away. He let the silence stretch, then gave a low whistle. “Oof. That one’s good. Almost sounds like they don’t believe me.”
Her own voice surprised her when it slipped out. “Do you?”
Gojo’s grin softened, just barely. “If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be sitting here listening to faceless strangers roast me instead of, you know, doing literally anything else with my day.”
Taylor wasn’t sure if that counted as an answer, but she kept reading the comments.
Comments
Well I like the small interaction Gojo has with his students it makes it feel more alive.
