His face became the one of a ghost, of a skeleton. The soft planes of his lips and nose disappeared, leaving behind a creepy image of a man without eyes or expression. But somewhat, you knew what he wanted. You knew he was there for you, to take you away with him.
You wanted to struggle, to cry, but the moment he stepped into your personal space, calmness washed over you. He leaned down and kissed you, the feeling of bones against your lips strange but comforting. He caressed your hair and wiped away a lonely tear as he fell to his knees in front of you. Like he was the one praying for mercy and you were the one tormenting him.
He stripped you slowly, uncovering your body like it was a gift for him. Maybe you were, a death sacrifice. Maybe your soul surrendered before your body. What you knew for certain was that his hands still looked human, his body still felt solid under your hands as you caressed him back.
