Chapter 180
Kanae was in the stables first thing in the morning, helping Runald and the other stablehands take care of Aidenhall's mounts. For once, she wasn't here to have sex with any of them. The many languisteeds she had given birth to had reached adolescent age in record time thanks to Versatile Womb. It was prime time to begin their training as cavalry mounts.
A few Aidenhall knights from the mounted unit entered the stables at a time to retrieve their prepped and saddled languis. Kanae watched with pride as her offspring trotted outside, then raced across the field and tracks with the strength of gale winds.
"Aren't you proud, too?" Kanae cooed at Titan while brushing his brilliant black mane. "A lot of knights are saying these languis are faster than their last ones. Sounds like they have their father's genes!"
Titan brayed happily as he munched on the mixture of grain, hay, and gruel from the feeding trough. A healthy combination that, at least from what Runald had said, ensured their livestock grew strong and remained healthy.
Kanae continued, "Half will stay here and the other half are going to the Commonwealth. We're going to have the strongest cavalry the world's ever known. I sent a few to Rown Company, and Renya Renya gifted me expensive wine last night as a thank you gift. Too bad I don't really drink, but Arenade got drunk off it though… " She stroked the large languisteed affectionately. "Anyway, I have people building a private stable for us in Ehmvier. When I bring you back… we can start breeding again. How does that sound, Titan~"
The stall gate creaked open. Standing at the entrance with her arms folded was Edina, flanked by two undead soldiers in the same pose.
"I was wondering why there were so many more languis around. Man. And I thought gorags were as far as you were gonna take it." Edina smirked.
"Well, you know how I can be." Kanae kneeled down, and Titan's glorious cock became erect on instinct. She caressed the massive, sperm-factory that was his balls and slapped his meaty rod. "This bad boy can pump me so full of cum, it would quench a desert."
"But it still wouldn't quench your thirst, huh?" she teased.
Kanae finished cleaning up the stall with the help of Edina and her skeletons, then went to say goodbye to Runald and the stablehands. On the way out of the stables, Kanae was about to spread her wings until Edina stopped her. She summoned the undead dragon for them to ride on instead.
They sat upon its spine. Spiked protrusions on the back gave Kanae a good hold on the incredible beast, but Edina rode leisurely on it without grabbing onto anything. The dragon beat its powerful, leathery wings and lifted them high into the sky above Radevic. Only then, as Kanae gazed into the distance before them, did she realize Edina could have left whenever she wanted.
If that came to pass, there would be nothing she could do to stop her.
"I know you got a lot of questions for me, Kanae. A lot of them I don't even know how to answer myself. What I do know is that Death Attribute made me undead. I'm not a succubus any more if you're wondering. Even my succubus skills are gone," Edina confessed.
"That'd explain why I can't sense you with Broodmother." Kanae frowned at the revelation.
"Also why those Mistresses can't control me with Charm. So, I've been thinking. Set me loose on them. I'll fight the Queen-Mother and her Mistresses for you guys. We don't have to risk anyone else getting hurt. Besides, it's about time I pay you guys back for all you did for me back then," she said without so much as turning around, so it was hard for Kanae to tell what the squirreling was truly thinking.
An army of undead against an army of succubus. It would make for quite the sight, but…
"You got it all wrong trying to treat this like a debt. We're friends. Of course we helped you. Bishop Rudo, Bardell, Archbishop Gretchen, the demons… we fought them together, and we're going to fight the Queen-Mother together. So seriously. Don't even think about ditching us," Kanae warned. "I'll fight to keep you here if I have to!"
"Ahhh! Fucking fine. I've never played against high rollers more stubborn than you. Sheesh…" Edina grumbled to herself, but the happiness in her voice was too apparent.
They landed on the terrace of the Illuminant Repository, sending unsuspecting scholars, whose only mistake was reading outside on this quiet morning, into a frenzied panic.
"The undead have come!"
"Flee for your lives!"
When guards stormed out to meet the threat, they threw their hands up in dismay that it was just the usual necromancer again.
"S-Sorry! We'll enter from the front door next time!" Kanae exclaimed apologetically.
Edina cast her undead dragon back to the void, and they entered the Illuminant Repository to meet with Lapis.
"Where's Red anyway?" Edina asked.
"You mean Esta? She went to guest-lecture for a Knights' Academy class. Won't be out until the evening," Kanae said.
Which was why she was having Edina, the army-on-demand necromancer, accompany her to take Lapis around Aidenhall. Before reaching the labs, Kanae expected to find everyone fucked half to death. Thankfully, that wasn't the case this time around.
"Kanae, Edina! Hi!" Lapis waved while in the middle of having her eyes inspected by Eliza and Marwin.
They had on a pair of goofy eyeglasses in which the frame fit snug around their heads. The loupes adjusted their magnification when they turned to Kanae.
"The three hells is going on here?" Edina asked.
"Oh, this?" Marwin pointed to the loupe on his right eye. "It's fitted with a thin pane cut from magic crystals. We normally use it to appraise an item of magical or enchanted make. Unfortunately, we found nothing. Again. Although…" The wizard sidled up to inspect Kanae's chest up close with the eyeglass. "Hmm… Yes, voluminous and full— ooof!"
Eliza yanked Marwin away and sighed. "That's enough fooling around. I believe you made a promise to them."
"Does that mean Lapis didn't go around molesting anyone?" Kanae swapped glances between the two.
"I behaved like you asked!" Lapis hopped to her feet and smiled. "Does that mean I can go out now?"
As promised for not going berserk and raping anyone, they would allow her to sightsee Aidenhall under Kanae's guidance. Whether or not this was a good idea remained to be seen.
"Come on, you mechanical sex fiend. I'll even let you ride on a cool ass death knight!" Edina flourished her staff and opened a portal.
"NOT IN THE LAB!" Marwin and Eliza cried.
The undead monstrosity plopped down in the middle of the room, crushing a table full of books and expensive-looking equipment.
"Uh. Oops?" The necromancer giggled nervously.
Kanae put a hand to her face. When she looked up, the death knight had bent down to let Lapis climb onto it. However, the moment they came into contact, the giant undead collapsed into an inert pile of bones and armor pieces.
"Huh? What happened?" Lapis, who had been buried underneath the mound, poked her head out in confusion.
"My death knight! The fuck? The soul's gone! Is he dead?!" Edina dropped down next to her prized undead.
"It's already dead though!" Kanae retorted.
"Don't forget that your magic is useless around Lapis," Marwin reminded them.
After sweeping the death knight corpse into a portal, the three of them left the Illuminant Repository to explore the palace with Marin and Eliza's blessings. Lapis was in awe at everything she laid eyes on. The crystalline chandeliers, gargantuan corridors, and knights in regalia… nothing was mundane to her.
They brought Lapis to the Basilica of Saint Rue. It was mostly empty aside from a few clergy sweeping the chamber and knights praying in the pews. Edina shuddered on the way in.
"Uugh… Going into holy places is getting tough," Edina murmured nauseously.
"Wow! People really built all this?" Lapis raced down the aisle and almost pumped into a sister.
"Not all at once," Kanae began and called the lessons during her studies. "It started as a small chapel, then built over centuries by all kinds of races."
"What do you do in a place like this?" she asked.
"You pray, of course," the same sister answered them with a smile.
Lapis was dumbstruck. Her head cocked to the side, popping in the same manner as the automatons from Ha'Vavish. She gazed around the cathedral at the churchgoers, whose heads were lowered in prayer.
"Do you pray to that?" Lapis pointed to the statue of the Supreme One.
Kanae nodded. "Most people do. There are other gods, too. There's also my religion, the Eminence of Sin."
"I'm part of that, too." Edina thumbed at herself. "But I'm more aligned with the Many myself. If you have a choice, stick with us. We don't go preaching about pre-marital, staying away from gambling, and being sober." She stuck her tongue out at the Supreme One.
"Uhm… I'm right here, you know?" The troubled sister looked at them somberly.
Lapis approached the statue in slow, longing steps until she was only a few meters away.
"What's the matter?" Kanae asked, coming up to her from behind.
"I was wondering. If the dwarves created me, does that make them my gods? Even if they aren't around anymore like Marwin and Elizabeth said?" Lapis' eyes remained fixed on the statue.
"Going by that logic, I had some pretty shitty gods for parents!" Edina cackled until Kanae and the sister burned into her with their glares. "Alriiiiight. Keep my undead mouth shut."
"I thought I caught the scent of a sinful presence." Delayn was just now emerging from the cathedral's side hall.
The sister bowed and took her leave.
"Where have you been? Flogging yourself since yesterday?" Kanae asked.
"And asking the Supreme One forgiveness. The pain makes me strong, Succubus. Every lash reminds me of my holy duties," Delayn explained, flexing her back and sighing. "So, this is the golem you brought back from that dwarven city? She looks very human."
As soon as Lapis turned to Delayn, she tensed up like before.
"Oh, no…" Kanae muttered.
"Is that about to happen? Do I finally get to see it?" Edina asked excitedly from the pew.
"Detecting personality…" Lapis' eyes flashed blue and scanned Delayn from head to toe several times.
"What is about to happen? What is she doing?" Delayn stepped back and glanced worriedly between them.
Kanae slapped Lapis on the cheeks to snap her out of it, but she wasn't coming to. This was bad. If she ended up molesting a Saint Priest, then it was over for them—
"I'm fine!" Lapis insisted. "That specific function only appraises what a potential partner would like. This Delayn person is a masochist through and through. She absolutely loves pain being inflicted on her!"
"Wha—?!" Delayn's jaw dropped.
"You just got outed by a sex bot! Ahahaha!" Edina erupted into knee-slapping laughter, stopped to summon a few undeads to her side, and had them laugh too.
Lapis sniffed the air around the appalled Saint Priest, who was completely red. "Also… I think she recently climaxed. Multiple times already."
The knights and clergy who heard stared hard at her.
"N-No, it's not true! Don't look at me like that. It isn't true! Kuh… Damn it… Damn you! This only means I need to punish myself for these sinful thoughts even more!" Delayn ran away, probably back to her room again for another flogging.
"Don't have too much fun now! If you need an S to your M, you know where to find me!" Kanae hollered.
"Never, you godless ilk!" she shouted before disappearing around the corner.
It wasn't until Kanae turned around did she understand how those last words must have affected one of them. Lapis was looking down. Her shoulders slackened.
"Maybe I am godless…" Lapis muttered.
Before Kanae could say a word, Edina beat her to it.
"What does it matter if you are or aren't? You believe whatever the three hells you want to believe. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If you're ever feeling lost though, Lady Luck's waiting for us to blow a fortune at a casino!" Edina grinned.
"You could have stopped a sentence ago instead." Kanae rolled her eyes.
Whichever way Lapis decided to interpret Edina's words, she perked up a little. Perhaps she only needed something to think about it.
On their way out, they ran into the Grand Eye and Vestrid.
"Ah. Kanae, Edina, and… Lapis, if memory serves right." Grand Eye Analise acknowledged them with a nod. "How are you all faring this morning? Oh, I should inform you that a batch of recruits from the Commonwealth have—"
"Hm… S," Lapis said firmly.
"Come again?" She squinted at them.
"Nothing! The rest of Aidenhall awaits!" Kanae ushered Lapis and Edina away.
They brought Lapis to the coliseum behind Aidenhall next. Currently, knights-in-training were using it to spar with each other. To their surprise, Esta was there supervising the fights.
"Master? I didn't expect to see you until evening." Esta bowed at their approach.
"When you said lecture, I thought you were going to be in class giving a speech. Not out here," Kanae said.
"Yes, well… I didn't expect myself to be talking much either. Since the Grand Eye lowered the bar of entry to make up for Aidenhall's numbers, I've been working overtime separating the wheat from the chaff. Speaking of… You, there! Keep your kite shield up. It's only twenty pounds! And you. No slouching. Your sword is an extension of your body. It only leaves your hand if your entire arm has been lopped off!" Esta shouted at two trainees.
"It looks fun! Can I try fighting?" Lapis asked.
"No!" Kanae and Edina exclaimed.
There was only one way a fight against Lapis would end up, and Kanae wasn't about to have that on her conscience.
"Their aptitude test is in two days." Esta sighed heavily. "The faculty asked that I help shape them up, but I fear many of them are still ill-prepared."
"You know what's a good motivator? A giant undead army," Edina said.
Everyone gasped and looked their way.
"I think you're onto something." Esta, however, rubbed her chin and seriously considered it.
"If you want to traumatize them before the trial, sure!" Kanae groaned.
"You got a better idea? I'm all whiskers." Edina huffed, disappointed that she couldn't unleash an army of undead.
Having been put on the spot, Kanae wasn't so sure now.
"Uhm… Something to fight for, obviously… Like… How about sex? That's how I motivate my forces. Whenever they come back from a fight, we hold a vekas. They engage in an orgy with the Sisters of Sin and sex slaves." Kanae was just throwing a random suggestion at this point, but those who heard…
"Sex?"
"With the Demon Queen of the Commonwealth?"
"Ooouuuuggghhh! Sex!"
Suddenly, the trainees' efforts increased by several folds.
"Wait, I didn't promise anyone anything!" Kanae cried.
"Something to fight for… sex… I see," Lapis whispered to herself.
"No, wait. That suggestion wasn't meant for you—"
"After all," she continued, "I was designed to become the greatest sex doll! I… Updating parameters for an orgy…"
"Oh, no…" Kanae, Edina, and Esta uttered at the same time.
The three of them dove away as a cluster of tentacles in the shape of penises burst out from Lapis' crotch. They snatched up the women, constricting them like snakes having caught a prey. For the men, those appendages took the shape of an alluring female form— likely to suit their tastes. Many only turned out to be copies of Kanae.
"Can I summon now?!" Edina yelled.
"And do what? Stop her? She's immune to magic! Remember what happened to your death knight?" Kanae fired back.
"I'm not made of magic! Step aside!" Esta charged into the fray with her greatsword.
Another one of Lapis' tentacles struck out, and Esta parried the blow with the broad side of the sword. Instead of coiling around her, it took the shape of Kanae and embraced the drakeling, who let her weapon go to embrace the copy.
"M-Master…?" Esta stared deeply into the clone's eyes.
"That's clearly not me!" Kanae pouted.
The sparring session had turned into a full-blown orgy, and Lapis was having sex with them all. She orchestrated a symphony of moans, turning aspiring trainees into sex-crazed lunatics.
Kanae and Edina glanced at each other. They played a quick round of rock, paper, scissors. Edina emerged the victor. She staked the Pillar of the Damned into the ground and lifted her arms.
"Legion of the Dead, answer my call!"
Undead foot soldiers threw themselves into battle, succeeding in carving into the tentacles at least once before disintegrating into bonedust from Lapis' anti-magic properties. The instant an appendage taking the form of Kanae was severed, it dissolved into mud and dirt on top of a poor trainee.
"What the…?" Kanae lifted her foot as slushy earth rolled past to reunite with the main body.
"Did that work? I didn't wanna risk losing another death knight," Edina said, stifling the flames on her staff's brazier.
"Uguuh… Sorry. I got a little carried away." Lapis rubbed the back of her head.
They took a gander across the coliseum. Almost a hundred trainees laid blissfully asleep on the ground, fucked to unconsciousness by tentancles and earth golem copies of Kanae. The only one to survive the encounter was Esta, who leaned against her sword to stay propped up.
"Forgive me, Master… I, uh… hope this doesn't complicate things between us," Esta said ashamedly.
"I'll deal with you later. First, we're going to need to get some priests down here…" Kanae said of the trainees.
However, a large group of people coming out of the coliseum gave them pause. Kanae squinted to get a better look and was surprised to find succubi, gaurs, lizardmen, and other races more common among the Aidenhall knighthood. She thought they were being invaded by the Queen-Mother's forces until the Broodmother alerted her of familiar succubi.
"Your majesty!" All of the succubus dropped to one knee.
"Eh? What's going on?" Kanae was taken back, especially as she began to recognize many of them from the Commonwealth.
"Did the Grand Eye not inform you?" Esta asked. "I mentioned that restrictions to Knights' Academy have loosened. These are among the first wave of applicants to arrive from the Commonwealth."
She stared ahead absentmindedly. "Was that what she was trying to tell me? Hold on… that was today though. How come I wasn't told this beforehand?"
"I thought you were. High Priestess Lilith and Grand Eye Analise were in talks of recruiting from the Commonwealth. They believed that since your older daughters are here that it already set the precedence," the drakeling knight explained.
Lilith did that? What was she thinking, making a move like this without consulting her or Arenade first?
"Howdy, Kanae!" Tess, the leader of the once-nomadic gaurs who settled in Ehmvier, smiled from the back.
"New trainees? Should I help them train, too?" Lapis asked eagerly.
"No!" they promptly replied.
Familiar heavy footfalls made Kanae weak in the knees. Her pussy started gushing wet like dogs salivating to the sound of food. The crowd of Commonwealth knight-applicants and succubi parted ways for a hulking ogre to come through.
"Th-Thume?" Kanae gasped.
"Thume here to smash mate!" Thume bellowed, picking Kanae up in one thick hand and ripping away his pants with the other to reveal his hung cock.
"Everyone, look! Her majesty graces us with our first lesson in taking big dicks!" a succubus said.
"Thume become knight. Thume breed female mate!" He pinned Kanae to the ground, dick poised to breach her slickened pussy.
"This isn't a lesson! It's not a lesson— aaaaaaahhhhhhh!"
