Jerk-Offs: Date Night (Comic)
Added 2024-08-28 20:15:44 +0000 UTCI had... a LOT of fun with this one. It's the first time in a while where I allowed myself to push myself a bit more than usual. I put a lot of effort into the backgrounds (especially in page 1), something I tend to neglect either out of laziness or just to save time. This ....chapter? Episode? Uhh... snippet? Introduces a new character to the mix. A guy this time, Ethan. I started getting bored of having Christie bang a bunch of faceless anons, so I decided to finally give her someone she could actually pursue and have an actual dynamic with. I was afraid of having it be a little TOO similar to Rent's Low with Mado and Jet's relationship being at the core of it all, but I'd like to mix it up by having more of a slow burn approach to their romance. Not too slow, but enough to have some build-up.
For the next comic, I'm debating whether or not to do a direct follow up to this one or something focusing on another character like Sarah or Naomi. Naomi could definitely use more screen time. I'll let you guys decide. I'll put up a poll after this so y'all can throw in your input.
