2024-12-30 17:59:10 +0000 UTCThe serious bits in this episode are serious, yes, but because many times before the boys don't give a shit Kenny dies it made the seriousness here extremely ridiculous and funny, especially when Kyle and Cartman hug. "Why the fuck is Chef here?" That's like asking why does Batman have an Alfred? 😂 Remember the Simpsons parody episode where Chef goes all out to try to help the boys escape buying travel tickets and supplies thinking that the boys raped and tortured the teacher. Chef is their original Obi-Wan, their trusted friend, since the beginning he is the one the boys turn to for help and advice, you haven't seen much of him because you haven't much of the first half of the show. There is a tragic story behind his voice actor and American singer and composer Isaac Hayes and his exit from the show. Watch "Cancelled" to see a remake of the first episode of the show and how much Chef helps the boys. Then watch the highly regarded "Trapped in the Closet" and finally "The Return of Chef" to understand what happened to the character and the actor. Watch "The Coon." Then the Coon trilogy will go back to this episode tangentially, highly relevant to Cartman and Kenny here. Then, watch "Franchise Prequel" to see Coon and friends fight the villain Zuckerberg and the true final form of Professor Chaos. React to "The Jeffersons" for some good Cartman and Kenny bits, and more heartfelt moments. They really nailed the satire in this one too.
