August Character Poll (Multi-Choice Votes)

UPDATE: Seeing as the results are pretty one-sided this time, compared to previous polls, we have decided to close this one a couple days earlier and start the work right away. Now is the last chance to submit or review your votes!

Hey friends!

The most anticipated time of the month has arrived, and we are ready to open the poll!

Admittedly, picking characters for the poll gets harder and harder every month, as the suggestion pool grows together with our audience. I remember the times when I had to contact every other merchant sub and remind them to submit a proposal, as per our previous approach to polls. Then we changed how we do things, and I've been facing the opposite problem ever since. You'd think it's hard for artists to mark options they like. Let me tell you, having to knife some of their selections to bring it down to 12 choices is even more difficult, as I have to consider a lot of things when doing so without offending anyone. This month I had to remove 10 extra options. I suspect it's only going to get worse. But it's a good thing, means more people are starting to show interest in our work and offer more and more characters!

Now, for the choices that made it through. When I opened the suggestion channel I specifically said Fate characters were unlikely to make it into the poll on account of Mordred being done this month. When Baobhan Sith was suggested I just shrugged it off because it's not like we explicitly ban certain franchises on some months, we just significantly lower their priority. But then all three artists voted for her, so what choice did I have but to let her in? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But the warning still stands, same series get lower priority on repeated months.

To make my own decisions easier and to expand the variety of options, I chose not to let more than one character from the same title into the poll. Sorry, Claude, but Byleth beat you fair and square. Same for Officer Caitlyn against other LoL options. The hardest pick was between two Azur Lane characters, as they had identical votes from both ours patrons and the artists. In the end I simply let Milana make the final decision between the two because she would likely be the one to sculpt them anyway.

Lastly, we used our reserved spot to let Milana include Arlecchino. Let's see how she fares.
