For those, who print after.
Just wanted to let you know that we have made a good number of changes to the Esquie model and reuploaded it to the same folder as before. So if you haven't printed it yet, you should totally download the new version. However, if you are in the middle of printing Esquie already, best to stick with the original files, unless you plan on the alternative diorama base cuts for smaller printers. Here's the full change list:
Fixed extra keys in the alternative diorama base cuts for smaller printers that had no matching peg holes. Completely reworked the base keys, so the new pieces are not compatible with the old bases. Meaning, if you already printed some pieces of the base, best not to print the remaining ones from this update, or else they won't assemble. Either use old ones or new ones, don't mix them. And I'm talking about the base, not the whole Esquie.
Added uncut bases for those of you who believe spending 2 bottles on Esquie doesn't mean you can justify one more bottle for the base, so instead you want to print it with FDM.
Updated the rotation of torso_upper to eliminate a suction cup and help to avoid a shameful "cigarette burn" on Esquie's mantle.
Renamed a few alternative split files to clear the confusion about which main folder pieces they are supposed to replace.
Fixed over 20 tiny mesh issues, even tinier cavities (less than 1mm, not of the exploding variety), and uneven gap sizes. Chances are, you wouldn't even notice any of those, so don't feel bad if you have already printed the model. Normally, those aren't something worth releasing a fix over, but since we were already making one, we decided to knock ourselves out. No, really, at least three people on the team, myself included, have developed a nervous tic at a sole mention of Esquie's name over the past few days. So I really hope you apprciate our efforts and won't judge the need for the fix in the first place.
Happy printing!
