Paradis Animatic

I've had this in my head for a while now but I wanted to avoid announcing anything until I got the OK from Udachi to use his track. Fortunately he got back to me a few days ago and ever since I've been speedrunning this animatic!
I'm super excited for this project, but for the time being I'll likely continue to focus on Make Magic. There's a certain mindset you gotta get into to rough animation and I feel I've been too impatient with these so far 😅 It's certainly refreshing to have something less animation heavy when compared to Make Magic though!

Artistically the scene is great, the strobing coloration is fairly well hypnotic. I suspect all it needs is a subtle movement or change from the character to keep it out of the disturbing/uncanny zone.

2021-08-17 23:57:32 +0000 UTCCame back to this for at least the 5th time and had a thought hit me. The section between 0:30 and 0:50 might be slightly improved by including a blink or other eye moment such as a happy squint (slight raising of the lower eyelid as if smiling)
