Janus | 2020 SGA [Abandoned]

Here is the most recent version of Janus before I decided to abandon the project. As much as I liked it, I'd have to spend at least another year to complete it. Too many effects, background animation, sound design, etc. Not to mention my workflow in After Effects has changed so much since this that I'd have to re-composite everything before I even continued. Oh well! At least watching it again was cathartic!

Oh yeah--the original voice actor for Hermes3 was unavailable to rerecord some lines after lockdown in 2020, so I had to get another VA to dub over the lines. This is why there are a few shots where the voice delivery doesn't match the character acting. Just another one of the struggles faced making this during lockdown!

There are also a bunch of other things I'd like to change/rewrite/fix, but it honestly isn't worth the time commitment. At the end of the day it's just a student film, and I'd rather focus on future projects, building my audience, and improving.

Who knows, maybe you'll learn something from this! Not a lot of unfinished films make it online.
