Like, she’s obsessed with it because of her childhood—money was always her sense of safety. Everything in her life depended on it. From freeing her village to just… them being poor. And I really loved how she was ready to give up all her money for Keimi, even though she literally just met her that day. And Keimi’s also friends with Hachi—someone who caused Nami so much pain But still, she didn’t care at al . What really broke my heart though is that her adoptive mom died just ‘cause they didn’t have enough money to save her life. I can’t even imagine how Nami felt not being able to “buy” Keimi’s freedom—being put in that exact same situation again… it’s just painful.
